If it's done right, it might work. I'm incredibly distressed at the thought of Channing Tatum in the titular role, but only time will tell what happens there.

On a slightly similar note, is anyone here looking forward to the new Conan flick coming out next month?

Anybody but Tatum for He-Man (I personally want Skarsgård for He-Man). But as long as the director knows what he is doing, it could be good.

As for Conan, the director's resume isn't particularly good (he directed the remakes of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Friday the 13th which critics hated). However, they do have Ronon from Stargate Altlantis as Conan, so it could be good.

Alexander Skarsgard?

Professional critics suck, I don't pay any attention to those yahoos anymore. I liked both said remakes. Directors' resumes don't mean squat to me either, as I go in with a totally open mind and judge movies on an individual basis. ;)

Yes. Brad "Iceman" Colbert on Generation Kill and Eric Northman on True Blood. Just beef him up and he's my ideal He-Man. You got a problem with that?

Yes, it was terrible, but it also came at the absolute zenith of He-man's popularity, so it made sense to do it then. It's been almost a decade since the last He-man revival.

Cant wait to play the next fallout dlc.

Milkovich 07-18-2011 07:12 PM

Finished AC2. The final few sequences have enough logic and plot holes to fill a dozen other titles. Still, ordered Brotherhood.

k9870 07-18-2011 07:14 PM

AC games are good, but known for crappy endings and plot holes. One thing i hate, is the way they did dlc, they leave out sections of game, and almost instantly release it (while games like fallout develop dlc over time and account or user feedback, releaseing a polished product later) AC decides to make you pay or what should have been released in the first place.

If you believe Ubisoft saying Revelations will end the series up then there's gonna be alot of holes to fill.

I thought they were saying there was another numbered game with yet another new PC coming after Revelations?

Excalibur 07-19-2011 12:09 AM

I heard they are going to make an AC3. Revelation is just the end of Ezio's story

Spartan198 07-19-2011 02:07 AM

I fear Ubi ended up doing the same thing that Hideo Kojima did with MGS and wrote themselves into a hole with AC to the point where any ending they come up with will be lame.

Excalibur 07-19-2011 11:15 AM

I kinda hope the next game along the rode, we go to China or something

Lots of worlds available. Victorian London?

mpe2010 07-19-2011 02:33 PM

I distantly remember reading an article saying that it might be set during the American revolution.

k9870 07-19-2011 02:36 PM

There are too many rumors to count, having everyone armed with guns may take away from the spirit of the game though.

Spartan198 07-19-2011 07:01 PM

Babylon in the mid-320s BC would be a perfect setting, IMO. Alexander had gone all the way to the outer reaches of India before finally having to turn back because his army refused to go any further, and even upon his return to Babylon, was planning a westward expedition to conquer Italy, Sicily, North Africa, and who knows where else.

Perfect Templar material right there.

The Turner-owned net has inked a deal with producer Don Murphy (Transformers) to develop a live-action adventure film based on Captain Planet, the world’s first animated environment-saving hero created by the company's founder and environmental activist Ted Turner.

k9870 07-19-2011 07:28 PM

They should make I, sniper, into a movie where "ted turner" or whatever creative name they use is the main bad guy.

Rumor is, they're going to announce at SDCC that Goldeneye Reloaded will be coming out for Xbox 360 and PS3.

They did. Earlier this season. And it was great. (Wait until about three minutes in.)

Does that mean we'll finally find out what the hell they were going for with that sniper rifle?

As expected, GoldenEye Reloaded is an HD update of the Wii original FPS, coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, publisher Activision has announced. GoldenEye 007: Reloaded is built on a new engine by Eurocom, the same developer behind the original release. It's due to be released this fall.

S&Wshooter 07-21-2011 12:16 AM

I bought Zulu, 13 Assassins, and The Professional while I was at Fry's

I've just recently saw the new Transformers movie. The only things I enjoyed about it were John Turturro and Alan Tudyk. Thank god those movies are finally over.

Evil Tim 07-21-2011 01:40 AM

Michael Bay's Transformers movies are a conspiracy by Hasbro to make us look back fondly on the original movie.

I would to see a properly adapted version of the Transformers in a couple of years, that's centered around the Transformers. And here are some casting suggestions:

Richard Dean Anderson - Optimus Prime

Elijah Wood - Bumblebee

Hugo Weaving - Megatron (I'm giving the guy a second chance, alright?)

Michael Fassbender - Starscream

Evil Tim 07-21-2011 01:50 AM

Hey, you can't replace Peter Cullen! Some of us in our twenties have childhoods left that Bay hasn't quite ruined.

Excalibur 07-21-2011 03:48 AM

I'd rather have the guy who originally voiced Megatron in the 80s cartoon and keep the same guy who also did the 80s Optimus. No modern actor can replace those guys

Peter Cullen should be allowed first crack at Optimus Prime for as long as he lives. Ditto with Kevin Conroy as Batman.

Frank Welker is Megatron again in Transformers Prime. His voice HAS deteriorated a bit.

Yeah, he was Megatron in the videogame of the first Transformers movie, too. His voice really doesn't fit the Michael Bay version of Megatron, who looks sinister and evil, while the classic Megs was the quintessential saturday morning cartoon villian, all plots to blow up the sun and being stoopid.

And yeah, he does wheeze most of his lines in the game.

I have to give a shout out to Transformers Animated though, even if it didn't have Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime. The animation is geared towards younger fans, but the creators obviously watched a lot of TF Gen 1, and threw in a bunch of references for older fans. (Including Airplane! and Die Hard references.)

As much as I love Mila, I'd hate to see someone make this. I don't know if she murdered her kid, but hate seeing people profit off this. I'd rather see another adaptation of In Cold Blood (with David Fincher directing).

Tell me how it is when you are done so I do not waste my money like I did with Dead Money

k9870 07-23-2011 03:50 AM

Dead money was a poor expansion but the gold i lifted helped me buy some serious guns. Honest hearts was good imo but a bit short.
