My 1911 needs the following things on it

Front cocking serrations
A rail for a light/laser
Ring hammer, better beaver tail grip
Night sights - can get some after buying it.
Need to research some good mags

Though I am liking the Springfield Parkerized with all of the following except the rail

Springfield TRP Operator Light Rail would be the one I'd go with, has everything that you want. (The rear adjustable sight has a tritium insert.) Colt also makes one, but you won't get the strap checkering or night sights. There's also Mimber.... I sorry Kimber too.

As far as magazines go. While everyone loves Wilson's. They are pricey. Mec-Gar or ACT mags work just as well and are about 10 bucks cheaper.

TRPs rock, the checkering is a bit "manly" but get the job done nice. g10 grips are sweet 2, and theres a lifetime warranty, field strips a little harder withit though it needs an allen wrench.

Yes the do.

They have the non-TRP Operator and it won't have the checkering. You also get fixed sights.

Maybe it's just with me. My hands get eaten up more by the rear strap of the gun than the front.

Did I mention I want the gun to NOT cost an arm and a leg to get? The TRP's like a thousand dollars and most likely more.

You gotta dream BIG!

RIA has a full rail 1911 out right now called the 2011 I think. If you're going with budget.

Not too many railed 1911s out there are modestly priced.

They are actually factory, the yugos have a safety fitted. It only blocks the trigger though, not the hammer, so no condition 1, i have safety off. And if i carried it would be condition 3.

Sights are good for a mil gun of the time, better than a gi 1911 as they are larger and easier to see. Trigger breaks just over 5 pounds.
