Another limited revival. Personally, if I had to pick a series to bring back (other than Law & Order, of course) I'd like to see how the war ends in Space: Above and Beyond

I'm not sure there's any way to make Wonder Woman not look like a stripper (slide 7).

What's left after Amazon and Netflix? And with the actors' contracts expiring, this may be it for Hannibal.

So I just saw the new Suicide Squad trailer

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLLQK9la6Go

And it looks promising mostly because the director, David Ayer, has done some pretty good movies.

AdAstra2009 07-14-2015 02:53 AM

looks good

funkychinaman 07-14-2015 04:27 PM

If Will Smith is willing to take part in an ensemble cast, it must be a pretty impressive script. (Or they just paid him an ungodly amount of money.)

Excalibur 07-15-2015 03:00 AM

I've seen behind the scene features with Will Smith actually getting firearms training which is common in David Ayer's films. He will make the firearms handling as real as possible.

I may incur the wrath of Nolan fanboys everywhere by saying this, but it looks like Jared Leto is going to give Heath Ledger a run for his money.

BTW, I have to congratulate David Ayer on making Harley Quinn and the Joker's relationship even more fucked up from what the trailer is implying.

Spartan198 08-07-2015 10:01 AM

Looks like Ryan Phillippe is going to be taking up the mantel of Bob Lee Swagger.

Wouldn't have been my first choice, but I'm okay with it.

I was really impressed by how they animated the eye-holes on his costume.

I'm actually excited to see it. It looks promising, and I'm glad we get to see Reynolds play a PROPER Deadpool. That abomination from X-men Origins doesn't count.

S&Wshooter 08-09-2015 06:35 AM

Y'all seen The Drop, with Tom Hardy and James Gandolfini? I thought it was good enough to be a proper send off to Gandolfini, being his last film

funkychinaman 08-13-2015 04:55 PM

I don't think they even asked Arnold first, because I would imagine Arnold would've said yes.

I just recently bought Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 and Blazblue: Calamity Trigger. Both are pretty fun games.

And I just realized how much better the Xbox 360 is compared to the Xbox One.

If you do and expect to play it online---or even just access the PS Store from it---use an Ethernet cable. I'm on my second one now and it appears from my experience that wi-fi just plain doesn't like it.

I've recently bought Ninja Gaiden II and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance last week. Both are pretty fun games.

And speaking of Ninja Gaiden 2, I HAVE FINALLY BEATEN THAT FUCKING METALLIC FISH IN LEVEL 3!!!

It'd work, but they've never be able to use that great line, "I used to f*** <girls> like you in prison."

The post is about vehicles from James Bond movies, but they had a few props towards the bottom. What caught my eye were the three passports for the last three Bonds. Not only were the signatures different, but the birthdays all different for all three men. They didn't even try to use the same day from different years. (I did check, they didn't just use the actor's real birthday, but some were pretty close.)

Skyfall seemed to put the kibosh on the "James Bond is just a code name" theory, but it's possible that was what the props people were going by all these years.

Heat retrospective.

The subplot with Natalie Portman does make the film drag a bit.

New A-Team series?

well, they mentioned having a female member of the Team....

Guess we're allowing girls on ODA now, too.

I bet they don't even use Mini-14s with factory folders on them.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Maybe they'll actually be accused of committing a real crime this time. If some commandos few into Syria and stole millions of dollars from ISIS, they'd be lauded as heroes, not locked up.

funkychinaman 10-01-2015 04:47 PM

Interesting bit about Damien Lewis as a possible replacement. I suppose if the world got over a blond Bond, a ginger Bond shouldn't be too hard.

I just saw the movie Sicario and it was pretty good. Though Emily Blunt wasn't as convincing as an FBI Agent as she did as a badass alien killing soldier in Edge of Tomorrow. Maybe it's because her figure doesn't convey that she's this frontline "door kicker" that the movie was telling us about. The first part that took me away was during the opening scene of them breaching the Cartel house and she fell while unloading full auto on a guy. Also hearing the Delta guys at the end of the film firing in full auto also took me out for a second.

predator20 10-19-2015 06:31 PM

I liked the movie as well, went really fast for a 2 hour movie. Blunt's character didn't have a problem shooting someone when a gun was pointed at her, but just wouldn't execute someone. As Del Toro said to her you're not a wolf. I knew the dinner scene would turn out bad, just didn't think it would go that far.

I just picked up my copy of Fallout 4. From what I have heard, the game definitely lives up to the hype.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hea...-remake-840587

Breakout movie for one of the best filmmaking teams today, Oscar noms for screenplay and editing, overall great job by all the actors, "only" fifteen years old.

What's the plan here? I'm not going to say it's impossible to improve, but there's a 99.7% chance it'll be worse. So why bother?
