A request to our RUSSIAN members.....
Since we have an influx of Russian IMFDB members, I have a favor to ask. Until recently I was going to fly to Russia (on business and while there take some pics of Russian weapons. ) But that project fell apart and I sure am not going to fly all the way over there just for that.
We, (in the U.S.) have provided lots of high resolution photographs of the weapons available here. I was hoping if any of our Russian members can photograph or acquire high resolution pics of Russian weapons. It's a hell of a lot easier when you live there. Our listing of Russian weapons (those that are not commonly owned or sold here in the United States), have many terrible pictures. They are low resolution (sometimes B&W) pics taken from some manual somewhere. Can any of you Russian IMFDB members help out the site and contribute good quality pics of Russian weapons? It would be very much appreciated. Hope this doesn't call on deaf ears ;) Thanks. |
Well, I guess we don't have any Russian members on the forum....
But it seems that MOST of our foreign members don't actually come to the forum. I've only seen our UK and Argentine friends here. Huh. Weird. |
I didn't even know we had any Russian members

I will say this, I was a member of the site for like 2 months before I even knew there WAS a forum. Perhaps posting a temporary thing on the main page reminding members to join the forum? Something like what Bunni did when he was at the SHOT show. Just a thought. -Z

and after you Russians are done with that, then you need to make a page for "Chuzhaya (2010)"...if for no other reason than that the movie is awesome and Natalia Romanycheva stole my heart...well...its probably just lust but you get the idea.

Now Japan has great gun photography but not a big WEB presence of those pics. They (and the Chinese Airsoft makers) sure make some nice pics of their airsoft guns though. But the Russian weapons, especially the new models or prototypes? It's frustrating to see crap photos of the Russian weapons. I dare say the only Russian weapons that have half decent photographs are the Russian weapons that are available here for sale in the U.S. I hope our Russian members can navigate through all those Russian websites (since 99.99% of them are in cyrillic) and get great gun reference images. :) |
