I haven't watched it, but this sounds like a more Michael Bay retelling of On the Beach.
I had a pair of CH-53Es fly over my neighborhood a few days ago. Damn those things are loud. |
I'm okay with the idea of a Predator remake, and I'm okay with the director of Ironman 3 behind it. I am NOT okay with the writer of Robocop 3 writing it though.

Everyone involved with trying to remake Predator need to be beheaded in a huge public spectacle, because you just know they'll fuck it up. Badly, too
|
Better to wait until they have something to show before passing judgment, IMO. You might be surprised. The RoboCop remake turned out pretty well despite initial concerns, after all.

New Brad Pitt movie in WWII. At about 1:59, I was very surprised to see a Sturmgewehr https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OGvZoIrXpg

I don't think StG44s are particularly rare in movie armories, and even if they were, replicas like the BD44 are available. |
The talk of a Predator remake got me wondering: What ever happened to John McTiernan? The guy gave us the original Predator, Die Hard, and The Hunt for Red October (which might be the greatest four year run in Hollywood history,) but hasn't made a decent film since 1999. (Thomas Crowne Affair?)
I know he did a year for wiretapping or something, but according to Wikipedia, he got out of the joint back in April. Hopefully he can keep working. If Roman Polanski can keep working, I'd like to think John McTiernan can get his career back on track. |

According to IMDB, it was shot in the UK, and it doesn't seem like there's a shortage there. Even the Dirty Dozen sequel, a TV movie, had them. I'm not saying there's enough to equip a battalion of extras, but they're around. And as I said, someone does make brand new replicas. |

I just watched Uwe Boll's House of the Dead, and it lived up t its reputation of being godawful. The Resident Evil films are Oscar Worthy compared to this piece of shit (and at least the action scenes were good in them, unlike Boll's film).

Dear God, I haven't seen a Boll movie in forever!

And Uwe Boll somehow managed to make a shootout scene unenjoyable. |
At this point, I think the only reason Boll is still making movies is to troll his haters.
|
If you're still a glutton for punishment, the 1968 Tunnel Rats page is incomplete. I've decided I'm not going anywhere near a Uwe Boll film.
|
Seems like a no-brainer, considering how well it did internationally.

Looks like Michael Bay's making an unofficial remake of Primer, excepted its watered down and marketed at the teeny bopper crowd:

Yeah, looks like they also stole a premise from an Anime I saw a while back called Steins Gate

I just saw the new 300 movie...meh

I'm more interested in The Division.

I just watched the first two episodes of Mad Bull 34. This was my reaction to it in a nutshell:

Normally, I would not watch nearly nine minutes analyzing Michael Bay, but I can't really say no when I recently watched five hours of analysis on the Star Wars prequels.
It's pretty fascinating though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2THVvshvq0Q |
That was a very interesting video.
Now I wish there was a video analyzing his misogyny. |
Just getting familiar with Yahoo Screen since Community is moving there, and I came across an old classic SNL sketch.
At least Sly is self-aware. https://screen.yahoo.com/norm-macdon...000000415.html |
Speaking of Micheal Bay, I've just seen 3 episodes of The Last Ship...it really is Contagion the series and has nothing similar to the book...but as being a Micheal Bay thing...it's a jerk off to the US military and how awesome it is like in all Micheal Bay pictures...that being said, I wonder how he's going to do the Turtles and still jerk off to the US military?

And despite the fact that he's only a producer, this movie has Bay's fingerprints all over it. |
Dear Hollywood: THIS IS HOW YOU PROPERLY ADAPT A FRIGGIN' ANIME:
