Normally people go outside to fight, even at their drunkest. Was this even a fight or was the guy just being a spazz?

Are you serious? It's called a bar fight cause it takes place in the bar. If you're drunk enough or if someone wants to fight, they wont be polite and "Take it outside". No one does that. Even in the movies, no one "takes it outside"

I've seen people "take it outside", not at bars but at house parties. (Never seen a real fight take place in a bar or any other business.) And Nyles never actually said it was a bar fight, he just said somebody threw a chair through a window. I have a hard time believing that a bar fight taking place in the presence of cops and soldiers would be allowed to escalate to the point of chair throwing. Who gets into a fight and then attacks a window anyway? The question remains; why throw a chair?

They were off duty, I doubt they'd have tasers or batons on them, maybe a concealed carry pistol at best.

A window shattering into pieces probably would seem pretty epic if the person was smashed, and throwing a chair is less harmful than punching it.

Funny story, Nyles.

I really don't know anybody who acts that way drunk. Actually, I always figured that when most drunk people see cops, their natural instinct is to act as sober as possible (albeit unsuccessfully).

It depends how drunk the person is. When someone reaches blackout drunk (which I've seen happen), they can get pretty unruly. I know one guy who punched a hole in his WOODEN wall. His hand was bleeding but he didn't even notice. He didn't remember doing it either.

Well I've never been to a bar for a drink, so I wouldn't know

Bars don't usually have windows, are things different in Canada?
