Speed Handgun

Whoever edited the S&W Classic handgun section to the movie Speed to say "Smith & Wesson 4004" I have only this to say, what the hell? Why are you so insistent that this is a .40 caliber handgun, especially one you can't find any information on? None of the testimony makes sense either, as an "04" suffixed gun series gun would have a carbon steel frame, not an aluminum one, and the bore looks more like a 9mm than a .40. Get some better information, or fix the page; just because there's a more obscure, out of the way answer, doesn't mean it IS the answer.

Alright dude, chill. I'll change it. I thought it was too short to be a 5904 but I was wrong.

Sorry for being rude, but that was my edit before you revamped the page. It's a 6904 if not the 5904, cause it has a bobbed hammer and an awkward backstrap.

You have a book? Does it have serial number dates?

I have the 2006 Standard Catalog of Firearms. And you were right, it was a 5904. But the 04s are alloy frames. The 5904 included. The 06s become all steel.

Howd' the page come out by the way? I thought I did pretty well (aside from the S&W 5904 screw up).

I was led to believe that 3 meant aluminum alloy, 4 was carbon blued steel, and 6 is stainless steel.

The page other than that is fine, but now I think it's a 6904, the compact model, as it has the bobbed hammer, short frame, and extended finger groove baseplate.
