Vid player that is best for screen capping?

My current one is a bit stupid when it comes to screen capping something. Jetaudio. When I pause and press the cap button, it rewinds and caps a shot 1 second before the shot I paused at. This has been frustrating because I can't do my "perfect" shots anymore and timing it doesn't work.

So I need a new player that is good at capping. Any ideas?

Media Player Classic is my player of choice. Fairly wide range of formats, though it can be a bit tough to set it up for screen capping.

YNH just told me to use Windows movie player and print screen.

Unfortunantly if that worked for me I would be screencapping as many films as I could find in my local library to make the sorts of pages that are shown as examples of how to properly start a page.

VLC is a pretty useful program for screencapping, especially since it added a built-in screencapping feature and frame-by-frame advancing.

Go to View and click on advanced controls, that allows a snapshot button right where the play buttons are.

Then go to Tools and click on preferences. Click on video and set up the folder where you want the snaps to go and change the format to jpeg pics.
