•Type and serial number of the firearm;
•Positive identification, including photograph and fingerprint;
•Certification from local law enforcement of identity and that possession would not violate State or local law; and
•Dedicated funding for ATF to implement registration

There it is folks.

Senator Feinstein is one of the most vocal anti-gun senators in the nation. She has stated on the record that if she could she would have Americans turn in their firearms the next day. It's no secret and this time she's feeling pretty confident. So if you find this act of her's to be disturbing get busy and start doing all that boring stuff like contacting your reps, contacting the NRA and so on. Feinstein has been waiting for an opprotunity like this for years.

I don't see it passing as is, especially registering under the NFA bs. Who's going to pay for the dedicated funding? Trying to bite off more than she can choke on.

Jcordell 12-28-2012 04:06 AM

I agree, but it's important that this information be put out there. Personally I hope that NPR and the other anti-gun folks keep at it. Keep beating that drum because they're getting people (on our side of this issue) angry and fired up.

I really need an image of an AC566 with a fixed stock plus a five round magazine and an AR15 with a grippod and as many other "evil" features i can cram onto it as i have an Idea for a bit of counter propaganda.

There you go.

You mean show how the Anti gun people can't tell a Machinegun that falls under legal restrictions dateing back to 1934 and a rifle that is very popular for hunting, target shooting and competition?

I thought passing ex post facto laws was forbidden under the US constitution, meaning that the last part about people who currently legally own "assault weapons" having the register them would be quite clearly unconstitutional would it not?

I would think so, but they did that very thing to owners of full automatic weapons when they passed the 1934 National Firearms Act. As I understand it.

Excalibur 12-28-2012 01:22 PM

So this bill doesn't ban the possession of the weapons it's trying to ban...which won't change a damn thing
