Curious about firearms that could fit well in a "steampunk/victorian" setting.

I've done a little looking around and found a few that I think would fit well:

Mauser C96/M712 Schnellfeuer
Bergmann-Bayard M1910
Borchardt C-93
Luger P08

I think most western firearms would fit well too, but I'm mostly trying to discover obscure old firearms, such as the Bergman. I had no idea it existed until I ran across it while browsing.

And since it's steampunk, you can also dress up any gun really to fit the steampunk theme

I would think that Webley revolvers are a must. Nambu pistols kind of look like they'd fit as well.

Webley-Fosberry in particular. And I think the Webley & Scott autos are also a good fit. The Schwarzlose 1898 too.

True, but I'm looking for realistic examples (Nothing dressed up) and one thing I'm looking for is rifles with old magnifying devices/scopes. If anyone here has seen Steamboy, there was a rifle with an interesting magnification system featured in one scene, has anything like that ever actually existed?

The Schwarzlose 1898 fits decently, yeah. And the Webley Fosberry most definitely.
