Bushmaster ACR

At my local Cabela's, I handled an ACR for the first time. It's actually a bit front heavier than I thought, but still cool. It's lighter than the SIG 556 by a mile. The guy at the counter was took a minute to realize where the charging handle was until I pointed it out to him and he didn't know where the bolt release was until I pointed it out to him.

Do you think it would be worth selling a kidney to own?

Excalibur 06-05-2010 11:39 PM

Almost 3,000? I hope my kidneys are wroth nearly that much.

Also to my delight, in their gun library there was an SP89! With 2 15 round magazines, 4 old style straight magazines and 3 of the curved ones.

Sweet! Was it for sale?

No, too bad it wasn't for sale. It was marked as part of the Library, not "pre-own". Too bad

Damn. You can buy most of the guns in the gun library at the Cabela's down here

If it was for sale, the SP89 would have been a little over 3000.

The ACR they got was a basic model without the folding, adjustable stock. But on the plus side it did come with the Magpul flip up iron sights

I'd rather have the H&K over the ACR

Same here. But it was cool to see an ACR up close for the first time.

I've always wanted to fiddle with one, but SCARs are more prevalent in my area
