Pity it's just a one shot weapon. But then again, I don't think he'd be allowed to personalize it like that if it weren't.

They can be reloaded. There was an episode of Sons of Guns (I think it's called) where they bought an M72 and several rockets from a customer, then went out and fired them off.

It wasn't Sons of Guns, it was an episode of American Guns. Although they claimed it was a LAW on the show with explosive rockets it wasn't really. What it was was a spent LAW tube (unregulated item in the US I think) fitted with a piece of training equipment which is the M190 sub-caliber adapter (considered a flare launcher so also unregulated), firing the 35mm M73 training rocket (legally a flare). The M190 adapter sits in the spent tube, and this part is reloadable with the 35mm training rockets which replicate the trajectory of an M72 rocket but without the explosive payload (they have a small bursting smoke charge to show the point of impact). The real M72 LAW is not reloadable.

I know somebody who personalised his LASM (British M72A9) by drawing a "Bullet Bill" from Mario on each side of the launcher at the front but never fired it. When he was back in theatre 18 months later he ended up seeing somebody carrying around the exact same launcher which had still not been used (Bullet Bill was pretty faded by this point though).
