Hey guys, I've been active on the site for quite a while now but never joined the forums for whatever reason. Well, I saw this thread and just thought I'd chime in. On my profile (which I haven't updated in a while :o) it says I have a Mosin Nagant and a Nagant revolver (which I still do have-although I'm about to sell the revolver). I've since acquired a few more toys, including a Ruger 10/22, Smith and Wesson M19-5, T/C Contender, and a Ruger Blackhawk. I guess that counts as a "gun purchase". :D

Wow, you managed to get your hands on a Nagant revolver? Those things are pretty damn rare IIRC, don't sell it too cheaply.

nagants are common and cheap lol bought mine for 99 bucks plus transfer and it came with a holster armorers tool and cleaning rod.

I thought about getting a Nagant revolver myself. My local Cabela's was selling a couple for a hundred each

I wanted one when I was a little younger, but that stopped after I got to try out the DA trigger pull

My parents repaid me for some money that they had borrowed last night. I'm considering using it to buy a little bit of ammo and a magazine for my '74, but it all depends on how much doing so would cost.

I had to reorganize the whole bottom (long-gun) portion of the family gunsafe last week and while I was in there, I handled my father's Ruger Redhawk for a little while. Since then, I've been thinking about talking to him about buying it from him at some point (after he repairs the unnamed issue it has that he keeps telling me about, that is) since it just sits in the safe. He's planning to sell it anyways, and I think it would be neat to have my very own "Handcannon", so why the hell not? I'll definitely need to sell a few guns to be able to pay for it, though.

nagants are a cool little piece of history and a neat collectable. Why not have one in the collection?

Last gun show I was at, a guy had a whole crate of them in the big wooden carry case. About half were sold by the time I saw it ($139), and I was interested but didn't have a second form of ID. Maybe next time
