I'm the opposite.

I love MW2's single player. Yeah, the story ain't the best, but what's there is very well-done, and it feels polished and massaged to be as involving as humanly possible.

Multilplayer, on the other hand, is a hot mess of glitchers, campers and boosters. I've not made a concerted effort to play online in this game for quite some time now, and the only real thing that it has over singleplayer at this point is I get to choose my own guns. If MW2's campaign had that option, I'd never worry about online play again.

Medal of honors ending was abrubpt and unsatisfying, but gameplay is solid.,

Excalibur 10-13-2010 02:27 AM

I'll wait until after I bought and played through Fallout New Vegas before I take a look at MoH.

One thing about medal of honor is the people who made single player shoulve done multiplayer, singleplayer had better controls, espicially the lean/peak feature. nd multiplayer you cant change sidearm so i ahve to look at the friggin beretta the whole game......

Single player and multi-player have different controls?

k9870 10-13-2010 07:39 PM

in ultiplayer, there is no leanout, the lean button is your alternate weapon button, and the buttons to change fire mode and to grenade launcher in single player are airstrikes and such in MP with no switching fire mode.

The gameplay is fast paced with no campers or boosting, but it couldve been so much better with a little work.Oh well, 6 days to new vegas. And when black ops is out thatll be my online game of choice.

Or maybe we team up and paint the walls with our enemies' brains :p

Excalibur 10-13-2010 10:59 PM

If you all are getting Black Ops on PC, let's play together

k9870 10-13-2010 11:03 PM

360, im a console gamer all the way. And SW, we can team up with m16s and lay waste, ive used the m16 with iron sights and a 203 as my primary forever.

Be forewarned: I suck at Call of Duty

Excalibur 10-13-2010 11:31 PM

Well too bad guys. FPS games are best on PCs.

Not really

k9870 10-13-2010 11:42 PM

PC=keep updating all the time to be able to play the games that require the hottest new technology.

Console: Never update, always in date.

Also, i love to just lounge back with a controller in hand instead of sitting right at the computer.

Also, PC has tons of lag, you usually have to deal with punkbuster, and you might get a virus

Get a virus for playing COD? Really? Well, that's what firewalls and anti-virus programs are for and you only get viruses if you download illegal shit, and porn. You don't get viruses if you go on youtube or log onto Steam. And depending on your internet connection dictates if you get lag. If you got a bad internet connection, you'll lag on XBOX live. Punkbuster is for cheaters. If you aren't actually cheating, as in going into the code and fucking it up so you can do auto aiming or hacking, then you have no problem.

Also, you don't need tons of money to get the "latest" hardware to play most games unless your PC is 5 years old, then you have a problem. MW2 for example was a game built for the console, so if it's good enough for the console to handle it, that means the port to PC is the exactly same hardware requirement as a 360 console. The whole idea that PC is "expensive" is a cliche image because some people spend tons of needless money to play a game just so they can push the settings to the so called "max" when at the very lowest is just as fine.

And when you play any game and it gets annoying to beat, I bet you wont' be lounging back on your couch but instead leaning forward, trying to get to the next level or getting pissed off when someone kills you on multiplayer.

If you think about it, game developers are working backwards for consoles if they want to design a game that they can have for the PC. Example, for MW2, you compare the graphics to an average PC of the time, which really doesn't cost thousands of dollars to what you see on an HD TV connected to a 360. There is little or no difference except for clarity which it depends on the TV or for the computer, the monitor you are looking at. The game itself was built to show the same clarity on both the 360 and on PC. Anyone who wastes their money on "gaming PCs" for games that dont need to be in a computer that high up are stupid.

Also we got control issue. If you like shooting FPS on the console and you are fine with the control page, good for you. On a PC, you have a keyboard for your movement and secondary controls like switch weapons, melee, running, etc and then a mouse to aim. All the weight of the keyboard and mouse is off your hand, that means less fatigue to your fingers and you dont have to worry about unconsciously dropping the damn thing. For an FPS, aiming with a mouse has a much smoother action to it than the stick on your 360 controller. The act of pulling the trigger button or pressing the left button on my mouse is the exact same reflex, so that's not an issue.

This is just my experience with playing on both console and PC. To me, how the screen is closer to your face instead of a couple feet away makes you more part of the experience than feeling like you are sitting on a couch 5 feet away

S&Wshooter 10-14-2010 12:28 AM

Can't play without having punkbuster; punkbuster fucks up your computer

Excalibur 10-14-2010 01:20 AM

Only if you don't update it. I have yet to have a problem with punkbuster on any of the games I've played. Most of the time, it's people who messes with it or the people who designed it the first time fucked up.

It doesn't "fuck up" your computer. Sure if there is something really wrong, it might make the game crash, but there arent a lot of cases where that's happened, which is why they make patches when it does happen. If somethings wrong with your 360 game right off the bat, they won't make a patch that can instantly fix it.

And you've only pointed out one thing out of the many pluses I've listed. Is that all you got? Just punkbuster

There are not many places that sell computer games, you can't play standing up, more cheating on PC, if you can't buy a copy you have to download the game and risk viruses (I did just that with my old computer, with full virus protection, and it ended with my friend/computer guy having to wipe my harddrive and me having to start from scratch). Also, if you want a game with cutting edge graphics and don't have the top of the line graphics card, you are shit out of luck (think Crysis)

Excalibur 10-14-2010 02:57 AM

First off, my brother's new 1200 dollar computer he personally built with the latest hardware and he doesn't want to play Crysis on it cause the game was not designed correctly with the average computer people have in mind.

Also, what do you mean downloading games and you get a virus? The only place I've ever downloaded games is on Steam? Where did you go? Some illegal free website for a game that is out of print? Unless you are looking for a game that you can't find on Amazon, or Steam, then it must be very old and obscured.

Look, a local Best Buy can get you a descent computer.

Playing standing up? Why would you want to play a game standing up? Your view of the TV screen would be off and you'd be looking down at the screen. You're legs will be tired unless you mean playing the Kenict or the Wii fit games. Most people play games sitting on a chair. Unless you like to play your games standing up looking down at an angle at your TV, unless your TV is raised high enough that you NEED to stand to see straight.

And remember Punkbuster? That's what takes care of the cheaters and most of the time, they get banned anyway for cheating and you never see them again. Dedicated servers help us kick hackers out.

k9870 10-14-2010 03:11 AM

Most overrated game ever:

Counter strike source, seriously, it is so basic and unimpressive and loaded with cheaters i dont see why its popular as it is.

Excalibur 10-14-2010 03:16 AM

I think it's addictive in its simplicity. And well there's a difference between hackers and well "Cheaters". people who camp, spawn kill, etc. Unlike real life, gamers in compeition will use every thing in the game to their advantage, even if it seems unrealistic in reality. They find the most efficient way to own somebody. Sure if you do it more often or not, people will be pissed cause they get killed by a guy on the other side of the map who happens to have the best view, or a guy who keeps lobbing grenades and gets lucky.

Last time I played COD 4 online there was this guy that, no matter what, could not die. We literally cornered him and 3 people dumped their mags into his chest. All that ended up happening is thatall of us died and a couple people rage quit

k9870 10-14-2010 12:25 PM

theres people on source who cheat by making auto headshots, xray vision through walls, etc.

Milkovich 10-14-2010 04:40 PM

Welcome to the world of online gaming.

I gonna buy The Rules of Attraction. It is proof that Ian Somerhalder is gay because he humps a mirror while in his underwear.
