Just out of curiosity

Are there any movies or TV shows 2008-present that featured an M16A2 rifle in an onscreen firing role? (fires on screen)

Just go to the site and search up the M16A2 and see. There is a long list.

the first ten movies on the list are the ones that came out in or after 2008.

I just had a feeling of deja vu. Haven't you asked this question already?

I think so. Sorry, for the repeated question, I just didn't know that I ask this before, but thanks for reminding me. :D

Your obsession with M16A2s burst firing on screen in movies made after 2008 really vexes me.

I find his obsession confusing, too. I like the M16A2 myself (which is why, when I was 14, I begged my parents to let me have a Tokyo Marui airsoft replica version), but it's kind of a dated design now. Given that big-budget action movies and TV shows tend to feature more modern AR variants like the M4 or HK416 (and even those are becoming prosaic choices nowadays), it's not realistic to expect many M16A2s to appear in "hero" roles anymore. Stick to watching stuff from the 1990s if you want to see M16A2s.
