I shoot some action pistol competitions at my range when the weather is warmer. They're on the first Saturday of each month, which is today, but standing around in 25 degree weather for four hours doesn't sound that appealing.

I also occasionally shoot trap and I was on the small bore rifle team in college. Unfortunately, you can't really apply techniques from one to the other.

I wish there was 3 gun near me, some day id like to do it, but dont have the time or money to become a top skilled guy so a local event would be better

They do three gun events at my range, but I don't have a practical rifle, nor the time or money to really practice.

Ranges around here dont allow shoot and move so training classes or competition is all the chance you may get sometimes. But it does come to a money issue for me. Especially with current political climate.

We have action pistol and practical rifle at least once a month, with special events like three gun and zombie shoots sprinkled here and there. It brings a lot of money into the club. I'm sure there's going to be a natural drop-off with the weather, but I'm curious to see how the current political climate is affecting revenues.

I think the biggest money maker for us is sporting clays though.
