I often wonder why handguns are shown to be so massive and awkwardly bulky in the "Future". A quick review of handgun design shows that they have become more compact and sleek as the years have gone by. Oh well just an observation.

In the future guns will be better. Therefore they will be bigger. Hence the Deagle Arms Deagle Pistol showing up completely unaltered in future works, as it is the most future gun.

We will also have forearms like Popeye.

Well yeah, that was clearly shown in the documentary Final Fantasy VII.
