With all due respect, that's probably the worst movie that any of the leading actors in it (including Ben Affleck, Gary Sinise, and Charlize Theron) have made in their careers. Movies that suck aren't too likely to get entries on here simply because it's unlikely you'll find someone brave enough to sit through them and screencap them.

That being said, if you need gun IDs, I remember most of the guns used in that movie from the last time I saw it. If you want, I'll tell you who used what. I might even be able to do a page listing the guns I remember, but not with screencaps.

Not to mention it might be John Frankenheimer's weakest film. I'm mean this John "Ronin" Frankenheimer we're talking about here.

there are plenty of movies listed on here that are weaker than Reindeer Games. i won't get into trying to list them all, but from what i can tell, how good a movie is shouldn't be what determines whether or not it gets listed being that it's all a matter of personal opinion, the movie's got a lot of gun-play in it and more different guns in it than a lot of the movies that are listed.

Haha, yes, I totally forgot that he directed this movie. That dude had a LOT of ups and downs in his career. Sad that he had to end it with movies like "Reindeer Games". But I'll always respect him for the great ones like "Ronin".

I never said that anyone's personal opinion should influence which movies get listed and which ones don't. Indeed, you are correct that there are a lot of terrible movies that are listed on IMFDB (like "2 Fast 2 Furious", which I did myself, even though I think it's a terrible movie). I'm just trying to explain to you why it is that most people on this site won't feel inclined to do a page for "Reindeer Games". While I don't speak for everyone on here, I personally have relatively limited money to spend on buying/renting movies, so I tend to do movies that I liked or (at a minimum) have action scenes/gunplay I like. "Reindeer Games" doesn't happen to be one of those movies, so I don't feel the need to work on a page for it.

If you own the DVD of this movie and want to do a page, that's fine by me, I won't stop you. And likewise, if anyone else wants to do a page for this movie, that's fine by me.

MoviePropMaster2008 01-08-2009 03:17 AM

No one is keeping anyone from doing a page for Reindeer Games. Remember we all do as much as we can (and have time for). Personally if you see a page that seems 'weak' or ridiculous, don't blame the admins or membership.

We keep on getting new pages created when we're still behind in fixing all the existing or orphaned pages.

I'm almost tempted to ask for a MORATORIUM on new entries until we fix all the blank (or terribly done) pages. But members keep creating more and more new pages.

Now we're getting more and more international members and we'll be seeing a lot more obscure foreign (and foreign language) films. Personally, unless those members start screencapping their movie(s) (especially if we can't get it in the US) then they should not make a page for it.

So if you see a page you feel is appropriate for this site, then by all means, create it.

I stand by this statement...but as fate would have it, yours truly shall be the one who brings this otherwise shitty movie to IMFDB.

Seeing the Franchi PA3 and Olympic Arms K23B in action was kind of cool, at least.

Rockwolf66 08-09-2009 06:03 AM

Ace Oliveira 08-09-2009 02:00 PM

What the hell is that supposed to mean?

Rockwolf does the clean up, garbage man. MT does the crap work, sewer.

Ace Oliveira 08-09-2009 02:18 PM

Clean up? What clean up does Rockwolf do? Also, what i am?

MT2008 08-10-2009 12:36 AM

Well, I doubt that Blix666 will ever post on here again, but if he does, I hope he's happy that I gave "Reindeer Games" much better treatment than it deserves. Page is here:

Yeah, you could say that, given that my recent pages include a Steven Seagal movie and the almost unwatchable sequel to "Alien vs. Predator" (which, itself, was pretty bad).

AVP Requiem? Man that movie sucked. That one actress from 24 trying to be Sigourney Weaver, no point in even trying. She's wasn't bad in 24 though. Doing a Steven Seven Seagal film, definitely crap work. Seagal use to be considered bad ass back in the day though.

Gunmaster45 08-10-2009 09:22 AM

Rockwolf I guess cleans up crap pages no one cares for, so he's the garbage man.

Matt takes on shitty movies every now and then, so he's the sewer man.

So far Oliviera, you still haven't made a name for yourself.

Personally, I have no clue what I would call myself though... I've never focused on one specific role, and never done an uneven proportion of good or bad movies, and the genres vary heavily.

Ace Oliveira 08-10-2009 02:34 PM

The Cowboy. From New York.

Gunmaster45 08-10-2009 10:30 PM

Ewwwwwwww. :p

Ace Oliveira 08-10-2009 10:33 PM

What? What did i say was gay enough for a grown man to say "Ewww"?

Gunmaster45 08-10-2009 10:34 PM

The cowboy from New York. That kind of reaks of gay. ;)

And technically, I'm not a grown man.

Ace Oliveira 08-10-2009 10:39 PM

But what if you are a cowboy from New York that gets a lot of Poontang? Huh? Huh? What then smart guy? I mean, why do you think all cowboys stay in the Saloons? Its because of the cheap booze and the pussy!

Gunmaster45 08-10-2009 10:42 PM

Ever heard of the naked cowboy, who walks the street of New York City in tighty-wities? *shudder*.

That's what "New York Cowboy" sounds like.

Yournamehere 08-10-2009 10:47 PM

I guess I'd be the guy with the giant ass wrench that tweaks anything and everything he sees. I've only done 3 full pages, all of which are good, but I fix anything that's wrong with any page. Formatting, grammar, incorrect identification, whatever. I'm the repairman. :D

Ace Oliveira 08-10-2009 10:56 PM

The Enginner. Doesn't help that you have a redneck accent.

Yournamehere 08-11-2009 12:38 AM

I'm not an engineer, not do I have a "redneck" accent. You'd know that if you'd actually heard me. Ever.

Ace Oliveira 08-11-2009 01:37 AM

But i never heard you. And i could swear you said in your profile that you were from the South. Well, everybody makes mistakes i guess.

predator20 08-11-2009 02:21 AM

I think you're thinking of me, since I'm from the South and draw house plans. Yes I do some engineering also.

Yeah, both "Half Past Dead" and "AvP: Requiem" are terrible movies (the former moreso, IMO), but at least by IDing the guns for you, I've saved you the trouble of having to watch the movie and determine if the guns justify the price (even sitting through a showing of the movie on USA).

Gunmaster45 08-11-2009 05:06 AM

Yeah, I couldn't believe they topped the first AVP when the second one came out. I thought the first one was bad enough.

And the glaring amount of gun mistakes in AVP 2 (such as continuity errors and ammo capacity) drove me crazy.

Not to mention the movie was just in terrible taste. The first victims are a father and his son? Sick. The PredAlien impregnates an entire hospital full of pregnant women? WTF?! What sick bastard goes to a movie to see stuff like this?

Ace Oliveira 08-11-2009 02:08 PM

Goth kids. And anarchists. And twelve year olds. Yeah, a lot of people would watch shit like that. Mostly stupid assholes like the guys i mentioned.

Huh? Of all the bad things I could say about AvP:R (and there's a lot of stuff to hate about it), I don't remember any obvious gun continuity errors. And I have an eye for that kind of stuff.

Beats the hell outta me. That's the reason I hate sci-fi/horror movies nowadays (not that I liked them much to begin with)...it seems like they go out of their way to just gross out the audiences with the most revolting, depraved shit imaginable, rather than taking time to build the tension that leads to genuine shock. It's because too many directors are unimaginative hacks.

k9870 08-12-2009 03:01 AM

All horror movies are the same, no variety, no originality. Thats why I dont watch....well.....any of them.

Ace Oliveira 08-12-2009 06:18 PM

Even Alien? Of course you hate everything, K.

Gunmaster45 08-12-2009 08:46 PM

Edit: All modern horror movies are the same. The old ones will always hold some dignity. Especially great ones like Alien.

Then again, Alien was directed by Ridley Scott, who can direct very well. Not Paul W. S. Anderson. :P

k9870 08-12-2009 09:01 PM

alien is not really my idea of modern, i consider it a classic actually. Im talking about the trend of low budget cheapo horror movies that have been coming out over the last few years.

Gunmaster45 08-12-2009 09:03 PM

I said Alien was one of the old classic ones.

Then say you fucking hate modern movies not ALL movies.

Gunmaster45 08-12-2009 09:47 PM

Be polite please. His wording was off a little, no big deal.

Ace Oliveira 08-12-2009 09:50 PM

Come on, i said "fuck" not because i'm angry. It's to add emphasis.

Gunmaster45 08-12-2009 09:52 PM

It isn't taken correctly then. You should cut back on the excessive swearing.

It gets repetetive after a while.

Ace Oliveira 08-12-2009 10:01 PM

Hey man, i didn't say fuck for two days. That's a lot, you know.

Gunmaster45 08-12-2009 10:07 PM

Is there a control issue on your swearing? Do you have typing tourettes or something? :)
