It's an AS.
I got it from Bass Pro Shops. They sold me a display model since it was all they had left. The trigger was broken. The salesmen thought the trigger was removable. Fortunately, they replaced the gun.

now that its fixed, shoot it yet? You like the trigger?

Excalibur 10-06-2010 11:53 PM

How much did you spend for it?

Yep, I've shot it. It's a little harder to control than my dad's .380(Bursa Thunder). Guess I've got to strengthen my hands. The DA/SA trigger is a little funny, not too bad though.

It cost $770. Just about what my M1 Carbine cost.

funkychinaman 10-07-2010 04:50 AM

$770 for a display model? Is that after everything (tax, background check, permits, etc?)

Yournamehere 10-07-2010 05:20 AM

That's a little on the high side, especially considering it was a display model that was broken, but it doesn't matter if you keep it forever.

k9870 10-07-2010 01:42 PM

did it come with goodies like extra mags, magloader, case?

S&Wshooter 10-07-2010 03:56 PM

Even if it came with all the bells and whistles, you just got price gouged

k9870 10-07-2010 04:02 PM

depends on the goodies, p99 mags are like 50 bucks a piece, if he got a few extras may be g\good.

Why are the mags so expensive? The highest I ever see handgun mags go is ~$40, and that's for really hard to find stuff

k9870 10-07-2010 05:13 PM

only walther makes mags for it, and no big makers like mecgar, plus the walther is not as common as bigger brands, supply and demand.

That makes sense

k9870 10-07-2010 06:25 PM

What i dont get is most companies use mecgar as the factory mag, bur always use the smaller capacity mag, mecgar makes mags usually 2 rounds more than is given with a flush fit. so beretta and sig make 15 round 9mm mags, and mecgar makes 17 rounds same size, then you got the browning, `3 standard, 15 mecgar, id personally only use mecgar for guns like that,

McSwan 10-07-2010 10:59 PM

It came with an extra mag and a case. Although Bass Pro Shops is somewhat of a tourist trap.

k9870 10-07-2010 11:38 PM

yeah, you were ripped of, they usually go 550-650 depending on model.

McSwan 10-08-2010 12:47 AM

Yeah, I guess I was ripped off. The pawn shop next door wanted $600something for a used one plus extra mag. It was a green one though. Not a big fan.
