Or better yet, a crossover between the two.

Bought Final Fantasy XIII yesterday for ten bucks. Very addicting and fun. Plus, it's a refreshing to play something aside from first person shooters.

Does anyone else think the Bruce Wayne here looks a lot like Maximillian Schell? And the new Batmobile looks like a blend between the Tim Burton and Christopher Nolan version.

Not a fan of the Mass Effect style Batsuit. Don't get me wrong, it should be armoured but the standard suit shouldn't have huge external plates and shoulder guards like that which are hardly conducive to sneaking around. I actually really like the Batmobil though, is slightly Tumbler-esque but is still pretty unique. As for the face model, it looked to me like they were trying to sneak a bit of Bat-fleck in there to get people used to it.

It looks like Kevin Conroy will be back as Batman though, so there's that.

Excalibur 03-06-2014 03:53 PM

Batman's suit is more like an Iron Man design

After this season, anything can happen plotwise.

For the record, I would kill for Eva Green.

There should be a word for making an overly gritty reboot ala Batman Begins. "Nolan-up"? "Dark-Knighted"?

New Flash costume revealed:

http://insidetv.ew.com/2014/03/11/th...oto/?hpt=hp_t3

They went with a darker red, like they did for Daredevil and the two latest Superman suits. Maybe fire engine red doesn't photograph well?

Swordfish941 03-19-2014 02:19 AM

I saw Frozen on Sunday, and I have to say that it was a great film, although the beginning made me sad. And it had a very unexpected plot twist.

funkychinaman 03-19-2014 05:06 PM

I can't believe they waited this long to pull the trigger on a sequel to The Incredibles. Cars 2 is already considered the worst film Pixar ever made, I don't know why they'd want to challenge that with a third film.

Okay, I finally got a chance to watch "The Big Lebowski", which one of y'all told me I absolutely *had* to see. It's an okay movie, I guess

Excalibur 03-20-2014 04:11 AM

So I've just finished the main campaign of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and...slightly disappointed is what I felt.

I've listed some gripes on the discussion page like why didn't they render a sling for Snake's rifle. It's literally floating off the character model.

My brother bought it earlier and said it was like 5 minutes long. I bet everyone who bought it is super pissed off about having done so

I heard it was super short as well. Are they asking the full $60 for it?

My brother paid $30

Excalibur 03-21-2014 03:39 AM

I think it's 40 bucks on the next gun, 30 bucks on the current gen and 20 for digital download in the current gen.

Two unnecessary sequels in one. Blade Runner is fine as it is, and does anyone really care about continuing Prometheus?

No promises

I got the Fallout : New Vegas Ultimate edition. It's pretty awesome.

I finally pulled the trigger on COD: Ghosts a few weeks ago. They can't seem to get their ranks straight. I went through the entire game assuming Elias Walker was a Captain in the navy. He lived in a nice house in a nice neighborhood in San Diego with two adult kids, that would suggest he was a retired O-6. It wasn't until I collected all the Rorke files that I realized he was an Army O-3. Given that he was referred to as "Lieutenant" in the Legends Never Die mission, and he had to be in the late forties given the ages of his sons, he was an O-2 in his mid-thirties? (In the same mission, Merrick is wearing a Rangers t-shirt and addressed as "Sergeant," yet his file says he's a Navy SEAL.) And in Sin City, Rorke refers to Logan "defending his captain," like it was a title rather than a rank.

As a space dork, the thing that bothers me the most is the fact that the space wreckage in No Man's Land and Stonehaven is clearly Skylab, complete with an Apollo CM and SM still attached. It couldn't have come from orbit, since Skylab deorbitted in 1979 and mostly burnt up on reentry. My only explanation is the the wreckage is from a plane carrying a mockup.

Downloading STALKER: Clear Sky right now

Are you seriously questioning the logic and details of a Call of Duty game?

Point taken.

Swordfish941 04-06-2014 03:18 AM

I saw Captain America: The Winter Soldier last night, and it was AWESOME! I loved the entire film, especially the freeway fight, and the post credits scene (which shows our next two new Avengers members).

Excalibur 04-06-2014 04:09 AM

I went to go see it earlier, but the digital projector computer thing had a problem and they spent over half an hour trying to reboot it. I shook my head wishing for the days of old school projectors. Anyway, I didn't get to see it because I got to go back to work...I shoulda went to see Sabotage

This one is waaaaay harder than Call of Pripyat, although that game condensed most of its difficulty into that one underground section

funkychinaman 04-08-2014 04:10 AM

I can't believe they're still going through with this. Blood and Chrome, which was actually pretty good, couldn't get picked up as a series, what makes them think anyone will watch either a third incarnation of BSG or a revival of the original?

They're just trying to milk that cash cow even more.

Here's an idea: revive Caprica.

I love BSG and even I couldn't get into Caprica.

Excalibur 04-12-2014 05:02 AM

I really liked BSG, but I hated the ending. It was terrible, hippy nonsensical.

Anyway, I just saw Winter Soldier today and I like it. Makes me wonder how they are going to tie it into Agents of Shield...which I still don't care for.

I forgive the BSG writers for the finale. They painted themselves into a corner due to the writers strike, and there wasn't much they could do.

I saw a few promos for MAOS, and it looked like whatever happened in Winter Soldier affected the show.

Excalibur 04-12-2014 02:54 PM

I call bullshit on the logic that because of the writers strike they had no better ideas. Any fan could think of a better ending.

With the writer's strike looming, the producers had to deal with the possibility that the show might end prematurely. The Season 4 midseason finale, "Revelations" (the one where they land on "Earth") was written to be a possible series finale. When the strike ended and the show got another half season, they had to work around the existing "finale." So yes, if you've already written an episode that wrapped everything up in a nice bow, it's a bit difficult to do it again.
