Swordfish941 01-25-2012 04:57 PM

I've thought of an alternative name for Chronicle: "Douchebags with Superpowers". :p

S&Wshooter 01-28-2012 10:50 PM

The Grey was worth seeing, but it was depressing and ended (cut to the credits) right as Liam Neeson was about to fight the "Big Bad" Alpha wolf

S&Wshooter 01-29-2012 02:34 AM

I just went by Fry's Electronics and got U.S Marshals, The Wild Bunch, and The Magnificent Seven

I also bought a PS3 for my brother. He has the money to buy it (well, pay me back), he just didn't have it with him and they only had one bundle left, so I helped him out

BeardedHoplite 01-29-2012 02:54 AM

Have you seen The Wild Bunch on Blu-Ray? It's godly.

I don't buy Blu-Ray, since I use my Xbox to watch movies

We have a Blu-Ray player, but it barely ever works and the only Blu-Ray we have is Gran Torino

k9870 02-05-2012 05:05 PM

When will far cry 3 be released all info is conflicting, i put a pre order down a while ago when its date was announced to be this month but it constantly gets pushed back.

funkychinaman 02-10-2012 05:27 PM

I guess Navy SEALs DOES seem a bit dated now.

I'm surprised that the ball started rolling on Act of Valor SIX YEARS AGO.

The Huffington Post was pretty disparaging about it, claiming it doesn't have "corrupt officers", "damaged heroes", or "queasy doubts about the value of the mission or the virtue of the cause".

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/0...6pLid%3D136995

Not that I hold the Huffington with any high regard or credibility, of course.

k9870 02-21-2012 08:32 PM

The director specifically stated he wanted to make act of valor because of all the films with corrupt officers reluctant heroes and such. He wanted a movie that portrayed heroism and patriotism.

SPEMack618 02-21-2012 08:45 PM

I once took an M-16 magazine home that was going to be surveyed in an effort to see if I could convert it to workin in my Mini-14. Guess I'm a member of the corrupt Military Industrial Class.

In a semi-related note, is it bad that I enjoy posting conservative propaganda in response to liberal cracked articles?

Am I a troll?

k9870 02-21-2012 09:13 PM

right wing propaganda kicks ass

Yeah, the conspiracy bullshit that movies like Shooter, Green Zone, and Act of War spoon feeds everyone gets really old. Not to say corruption and doubt among US military (or any military, for that matter) personnel doesn't exist, but it's not nearly as rampant as movies and games like to portray.

Yes, you are. Bad, bad boy. :p

The Left needs to be trolled, so you're justified. I've made it a habit of trolling racist websites on a regular basis (I use a program to mask my real IP address, so any time they ban me, I just change my IP and get right back to work... ;) )

Excalibur 02-23-2012 03:05 AM

I just beat The Darkness 2 and I was surprised the Kel-tec RFB is in this game. It was fun to play with.

Not to be a hater or anything, but I am really unexcited for this movie. There's nothing wrong with Schwartzanegger-esque action flick, but that's what Act of Valor looks like: a dumb action movie, real SEAL cast or not (if anything, that probably means their acting will be worse). I dunno, I blame Sam Peckinpah for making want substance with my action.

Im not really looking for great acting or engaging stories sometimes, sometimes i just want pulse pounding action when im out to have fun.

Swordfish941 02-23-2012 04:50 AM

We can describe the entirety of Smallville as a "ten season cocktease".

Excalibur 02-23-2012 05:08 PM

I'm going to watch Act of Valor anyway. I like military shooters

Oh yeah, the entire series was a lot of tease but it's over finally and that's what matters. The show started when I was just starting high school so I literally grew up watching it and it kinda holds a special place in my heart. There's a lot of good story in this show and yeah a lot of horrible ones but for the most part it was good.

That too.

Also: Jon Hamm for Lex Luthor.

k9870 02-25-2012 04:52 AM

Just saw act of valor it was awesome.

Spartan198 02-25-2012 06:10 AM

I saw the first showing this morning and it met every single one of my expectations.

funkychinaman 02-27-2012 06:00 PM

I'm happy that Jean Dujardin and Michel Hazanavicius won Oscars last night. I recommend checking out their previous work, the two OSS 117 films, both of which are absolutely hilarious, and are available on Netflix Instant View. They're sort of a mix of Archer and Get Smart, with a little bit of Pink Panther thrown in.

Assassin's Creed, now with tomahawks.

I've been following that. It's interesting. I wish Daniel Day Lewis voices

Swordfish941 03-02-2012 12:11 AM

I've recently the Game of the Year addition of Fallout 3. It has all of the DLC's I've completed Point Lookout and Operation: Anchorage.

How was Operation: Anchorage? I never got around to playing that one

I did not like Point Lookout. Damn hillbillies took way too much effort to kill and it seemed like every ghoul was one of those "might as well be a boss" Reavers

I like the different locale of Point Lookout. Operation Anchorage was kinda of a disappointment compared to the other DLCs, but I like it for the one thing that you can get to learn how to wear power armor early in the game

k9870 03-02-2012 11:43 PM

Excalibur 03-03-2012 02:59 AM

The Wierd It 03-03-2012 07:30 AM

So I got Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and Final Fantasy XIII-2 for my Birthday yesterday.

Please tell me I'm not going mental.

Excalibur 03-03-2012 05:18 PM

I thought about getting the Metal Gear Solid HD collection

Spartan198 03-04-2012 12:46 AM

I got Saints Row The Third day before yesterday, as well as a few of the DLC add-on packs (just character customization stuff, I'm holding off on Gangstas in Space) and the Ultor Exposed mission pack for Saints Row 2. Been playing SRTT since SR2 is lent out right now, though, and while I concur so far that SR2 is indeed the better game, SRTT is still pretty fun. I don't like the new "bad ass" version of Shaundi, though.

That show is old enough that my grandfather had the first season box set on VHS

The series finale was two years ago. I think the movie was just supposed to wrap up loose ends. It just doesn't seem right to do 24 outside of real time. That's its "thing." Well, that, and torturing people.

The retake mass effect movement has now raised over 50 thousand dollars for the childs play charity.
