Okay, should we have movie pages with only one gun?

Normally I don't care, but I worry about IMFDB's server space. Also people are on a 'stampede' to upload NEW pages, without helping out and fixing the existing pages. Thoughts?

I think that having pages for movies with one gun is kind of useless and sort of a waste of server space. Redoing exsiting pages should also take precedence over doing new ones. I also think we shouldn't do pages for movies that aren't out on DVD yet, even if they have some hi-def trailer, because it restricts how well one can do a page, and it wastes space we have now for something that we won't have done until later. To sum it up, a shift of efforts from new to old would be nice.

I'm not sure that having only one particular type of gun (or two, for that matter) necessarily disqualifies a movie from inclusion on this site. As long as the page is done well, includes gun image and links, and screecaps, I think it's fine.

Also, page files do not take up nearly the same server space as image files, especially shorter pages. The best way to reduce server space is by purging all of the unused image files. But so far, I haven't figured out a way to do that except manually (going through "Unused Images" and deleting each image manually).

I've only done a few new pages and worked on a lot of existing pages. The existing pages are usually more work because you're uploading over existing images, deciding which ones to keep and image file names that are different from your own. With a new page you have your own base image file name that you can change to whatever gun is next, makes everything way smoother.

Is that one weapon several actors or one weapon one actor. I don't see any issues with this as long as all the info is complete. Early films only have one or two weapons in the entire picture.
