CZ 75 & Gun Names in Video Games

This is actually really two questions put into one thread, which i hope people don't mind. It's just that i've already made another thread so i didn't want to be taking up the whole forum lol. But anyway, these questions might seem a bit silly or incompetent, so try to bear with me.

1) One thing that i've noticed is that the CZ 75 doesn't seem to be used in that many films or video games. I've always thought of it as a pretty popular and competent handgun. But comparing to say the Beretta 92 series, H&K USP, Glock pistols etc the list of media that the CZ 75 in is far mor sparse. Does anyone know why this is.

2) As you probably know, gun names in video games are often different to the real life counterparts. They seem to be often made to only slightly resemble the name of the original. Eg. in Hitman - Blood Money the Tarus Raging Bull is called 'Bull .480'. In STALKER - Shadow of Chernobyl the Franchi SPAS-12 appears as the SPSA14. But anyway, you get the idea. This kinda annoys me just because i really like to read the real guns names. So is it because then the video game designers would have to pay to the respective companies? How about if they for example called the Heckler & Koch MP5 in a game the MP5, then the company name is not being used (though the model designation still is i suppose). I think in Call of Duty 4 they called it just the 'MP5'. Or is it some other reason that they change the names?

Anyways, thanks for your time :).

The CZ-75 could be like the 1911 and isn't too popular with blanks. As for changing names, I think you get the idea. They may just change the names entirely because they changed the weapon design slightly and made it "their own".

The CZ 75 probably just doesn't have the sexiness of Beretta, or the brand-name factor associated with Glock, S&W, SIG-Sauer, H&K, etc. But it does appear in a decent number of movies; I've most recently documented its appearances in the movies "Push" and "Underworld: Evolution".

Also, while the CZ 75 may not exactly be a favorite pistol of directors, the Israeli Jericho 941, which is a CZ 75 derivative, certainly is. How many movies have you seen where the "Mr. Big" character carries a nickel or two-tone Jericho, while his henchmen always carry "standard" black Berettas, Glocks, etc.?

The video game folks are probably too afraid of litigation. I mean, if people can win millions of settlement money from this I would be too if I worked in that industry.

I have a question too.

WHY DO YOU CENTER YOUR TEXT?!

It's kinda annoying to read.:p

I've never seen even how you can center your text. It seems too much work

Oops, sorry about the very late reply. I sorta forgot i'd made this thread :p. But yeah, upon reflection centered text doesn't look that great lol. Just thought it might look more neat. I just used the tag, i'm way to lazy to do it all manually.
