Biathlon rifles

I''m watching the biathlon right now. What's the deal with these rifles? These look like... straight pull?

Yup. Fortner type action, since biathlon is all about speed. I've played with a couple, it works quite well (and is alot smoother than a Steyr M95 or Ross!)
