What was your first Gun?

And as of this moment, what was your latest gun purchase?

My first was the venerable Ruger 10/22. :) I still have it.

My latest was that Luger P08 that I mentioned in a previous post. :)

Infantry Basic Training Issued M4 Carbine with an M68 CCO

Not really my actual property ,but I consider it my first gun as it was always at my side for almost 4 months and it was the first one I've ever fired.

The First Gun I ever bought was a 12 Gauge Remington 870 Express Synthetic.
My latest purchase was a Browning A-Bolt Hunter in .30-06

My first was also a Ruger 10/22. Fun rifle but my grandmother wouldn't fork over the transfer fee to send it from Florida to Oregon, so it sadly sits in it's case down there, rusting away. Makes me sad.

I haven't "bought" any of my guns since I'm not of age to buy handguns from dealers so my parents have bought them for me, but I earned my money by doing housework to pay for my Springfield 1911A1. I still think the Browning constitutes my first purchase though, since I worked an actual job for the money to pay for it. My first legitimate purchase from a dealer though has yet to come. I'll have to hold out until I'm 21 to buy a handgun or buy a rifle, but of course I need money to do either.....

Sorry, but counting the firearm you were issued in 'basic' is a little lame :D It ain't yours, it belongs to Uncle Sam. :) I fired my uncle's shotgun when I was eight, I wouldn't count that either ;) Are M4's actually being issued in BASIC NOW?!?!?!?!?! Wow! You young 'whippersnappers!' getting all the new toys!! I'm so old and dated with the old A1!!!!!!!(not even the A2). At least I didn't train with the Garand! LOL!

1st gun gifted to me was a Savage .22LR left handed bolt action rifle when I was 6 yrs old. I still have it.
