Its pretty good. A little too much drama and not enough violence though

Excalibur 10-18-2010 01:30 AM

About one more day before Fallout New Vegas. Can't wait.

do you think its going to be better or worse than fallout 3?

S&Wshooter 10-18-2010 01:53 AM

Traded my brother Saint's Row 2 for Metro 2033 and Bad Company 2. I just beat Metro and I've already beat Bad Company twice

Excalibur 10-18-2010 02:08 AM

I might just trade in my Red Dead Redemption or my Final Fantasy 13. Never had the mind set to beat it.

I don't think you can beat Fallout 3's classic ''Mr. Smith Goes to Washington'' atmosphere...

Excalibur 10-18-2010 04:42 AM

Well New Vegas does share the same game engine as Fallout 3, so the same feel, atmosphere and gameplay is the same, so that part is the same, but hopefully Obsidian Entertainment picks up with the plot and back story

k9870 10-18-2010 11:37 AM

i love the character development in fallout, you go from being weak and fights are all about survival, taking cover and hoping armor keeps you alive, to being a total badass who strolls out in the open wearing a duster coat and blowing heads off with a henry.

S&Wshooter 10-18-2010 11:54 AM

One more day until New Vegas. It's going to be friggin' awesome, even moreso because I preordered and therefore get a much stronger handgun and better armor right from the start

funkychinaman 10-18-2010 02:54 PM

I'm waiting on the the old X-Men arcade game they're releasing on XBLA. They haven't announced the release date yet.

They've now released two of the three games from the Konami arcade beat-em-up triumvirate. (TMNT Arcade being the first.) Only The Simpsons Arcade game remains.

S&Wshooter 10-18-2010 03:45 PM

After checking the Metro 2033 wiki, I realized that I made tons of mistakes while playing. I guess I ought to go through it again

Excalibur 10-18-2010 05:50 PM

I never got into Metro 2033. It didn't really interest me.

k9870 10-19-2010 12:03 PM

mall opens in an hour and i can buy fallout

Swordfish941 10-19-2010 01:22 PM

I bought Iron Man 2 on Sunday. Sam Rockwell's character reminds me of Bill Lumbergh from Office Space.

Ah yes, Hammer. My choice of the 2nd most douchiest character of 2010

Max from The Losers

That "Ex-Wife" missile is nothing more than a fountain pen attached to a firecracker.

I think it was a parody to the first Iron Man movie where Stark fired a tiny missile at a tank and it blew it the hell up

S&Wshooter 10-19-2010 05:37 PM

New Vegas after I get home from the barber!

S&Wshooter 10-19-2010 05:46 PM

Danny Trejo apparently voices a gunslinging ghoul in New Vegas. Better yet, he's a recruitable companion!

I am going to see this:

Dude, I have the Blade Runner pistol! New Vegas is friggin awesome

k9870 10-20-2010 10:59 AM

where did you find it?

In the gift shop in Novac. It can only be repaired with repair kits and doesn't do too much damage. That and it only holds 5 rounds means that the .357 is the better choice

S&Wshooter 10-20-2010 11:14 AM

The AR10 is pretty weak. If you can, sell it and buy a couple Cowboy Rifles.

Also, if you come across a guy that wants you to save his girlfriend by clearing a trail of geckos, be warned that there is no girlfriend and that he will attempt to kill you after you kill all the geckos. He's pretty slow on the draw, so he's pretty easy to shoot in the head before he can get his gun out

S&Wshooter 10-20-2010 05:37 PM

Another Fallout tip is to "rent" a hotel room in Novac whenever you get there. It's only a 100 dollars and it's more of an apartment than hotel room. I'm pretty sure the containers in the room don't reset either, like the Megaton House in Fallout 3 and the hotel room in the Point Lookout add on

Excalibur 10-20-2010 06:03 PM

The weird thing about the AR-10 is that the charging handle is built on the bolt on the right side of the gun. I was hoping for the charging handle in the carrying handle or the now standard placement. My guess is that they reused the reload animation for the AK from FO3, which requires you to charging the handle on the right side. I think the same type of animation

I'm pretty disappointed that it doesn't do that much damage. I think even the crappy single barrel shotty does more than it

k9870 10-21-2010 02:51 AM

it fires 556, i think its safe to call it an ar-15.

I got to a NCR misison to get rid of some brotherhood of steel, and damn fighting all these guys is a bitch.

S&Wshooter 10-21-2010 10:20 AM

I found a 45.70 revolver, a laser tommy gun, and I turned my trusty SAA into something resembling a lightly engraved Buntline Special

k9870 10-21-2010 01:59 PM

i wish i had some cowboy rifle mods.

I got an m60, ready to do some damage.

I bought new furniture for the Cowboy Rifle so it wouldn't weigh so much. Has anyone been to The Strip yet?

k9870 10-21-2010 08:17 PM

yes, cool places, where you buy cowboy rifle furniture?

I like the trail carbine, .44 mag and hollowpoints, dropping people left and right and strolling around like a badass.
