Somebody fired a handgun across the street from my house a minute ago, while I was bringing in a few things from the car. Man, I hope it was just an accidental discharge

S&Wshooter 12-29-2012 02:07 AM

Man, I have so many pocket knives and fixed blade knives that are small enough to legally carry around right now that I could carry a different one every day for over two weeks.

I think I still need to get more knives

Evil Tim 12-31-2012 10:32 AM

Action doesn't look entirely workable (doesn't look like it has a proper chamber, even) and I'm not convinced by that thin part of the stock, but this is pretty cool.

You're going to have to forgive my skepticism, especially given that anyone can make a declaration on the Internet without posting proof (as you have done).

(2.) Pretending for a moment that you're not Bsing: If it didn't come from overseas, that means it's probably a full-auto conversion of a semi-auto AK clone which originated at an FFL. I'm sorry to say that if this were the case, you would be making a very good argument supporting gun control.

Actually, it's the Nortenos (or whatever they're called) in my area, not the Crips or Bloods.

I don't know where he gets his stuff as I haven't seen the guy since I was around 16 and thought associating with that kind of crew made me "cool" (I'm 29 now and know that it was a very bad idea doing so), but I can only assume he's still out there as I never heard anything through the grapevine about him getting busted. Whether he had any actual AKs or if they were converted semi-autos, I don't know because back then I couldn't really tell the difference between the various AK derivatives like I can now. Even then, I never handled anything because I didn't want my prints on a weapon that might one day get connected to a shooting.

Whether you believe me or not, is up to you as I don't really have any way to prove it other than trying to track the guy down and risk getting shot by asking to take a picture of his stuff.

while i was delivering i heard a nearby gunshot. I went to the gym a couple days later with a friend and he told me about how his dumbass uncle had just gotten arrested because he was sitting around drunk, some somalians started throwing rocks through the windows, and one almost hit my friends grandma. So the uncle grabbed his beretta, stumbled out and shot it in the air. Apparently he then hid the gun and tried telling cops it was a backfire.

That Bren gun reminds me of a cool pic I saw on a gun blog.

The British 8th Army in North Africa. A Bren team, obviously under intense mortar fire, is holding a position and the a-gunner is loading mags by hand with nothing but a pile of empties in front of him.

The cat was killed in action shortly afterwards whilst participating in Operation Chariot, and was posthumously awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal

I'm in the whiskey a little bit. I'm watching the BCS game with one my Fraternity Brothers and we are reduced to making lewd jokes in regards to the Alabama cheerleaders.

Good day.

The fact that the Obama administration actually has a number estimate of what a real Death Star would cost to build leads me to believe they've given it previous consideration. :p

S&Wshooter 01-15-2013 02:02 AM

So I started Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 again, and I've notice that infinite reloads for the pistols makes all of the other guns kinda pointless

S&Wshooter 01-15-2013 03:25 AM

I was at Collector's Firearms with my father last week so that he could put some money down for a nickel plated, synthetic ivory gripped 1851 Navy made by Cimarron, and handled a Ruger Bisley Vaquero. I've come to the conclusion that I need one. Not want, need.

Yup. I've wanted a Bisley ever since handling my father's "Uncle" Fred's original Colt Bisley; moreso after I discovered that a normal SAA style grip isn't quite the right size for my hands

Of course, until I messed around with the Vaquero, it was more of a "well, if I ever get a single action revolver..." kind of situation

Spartan198 01-15-2013 08:47 PM

Great, M4Carbine.net has apparently restricted my posting privileges, and I've only made one single post asking about the Mk 18 Mod 1 designation details (this was before I learned of the distinction between the Mk 18 and CQBR and that there's really no such thing yet as a Mk 18 Mod 1). :(

SPEMack618 01-16-2013 02:08 AM

Yeah, I didn't much care for that forum.

Reading there I was sorta like

"Dude, I carried an M-4A1 for a living. Used it against the bad guys. I think I can voice my opinions with the weapons fault. My CAB and this little purple bit of ribbon give me that right."

SPEMack618 01-19-2013 02:34 AM

I'm thinking of trading my P-95 for either a snub-nose revovler of some sort or a sub-compact auto....

S&Wshooter 01-20-2013 08:40 PM

So I used to live in Northern Kentucky, fairly close to Cincinnati, Ohio. In Cincinnati, they had this awesome ice cream shop called Graeter's, which made the best ice cream on the friggin' planet. I had totally forgotten about Graeter's in the years since I moved down here until I was in the Frozen Foods section of my local Kroger's, and found.....

That pretty much made my day

Now what do the M16A3 flat top believers have to say?

SPEMack618 01-21-2013 03:29 AM

All this AR talk as of late, and my discussion of the Beretta on another thread really makes me want to buy a Colt AR-15 and outfit it like my M-4A1. Maybe even so far as the Cobray launcher....

And a Beretta....I still got plenty of mags for it too.

Just wait until after the gun scare and the prices goes down.

SPEMack618 01-21-2013 04:12 AM

Yeah, especially since I'm looking for a very specific Colt variant.....

Hopefully, in a few months, or year, there will be a glut on the market.

That reminds me of why I own 9mm's

"Well, I have almost a full a box of 9mm....."

SPEMack618 01-21-2013 04:17 AM

haha. Yeah, I bought a bunch of MecGar 15 rounders before I deployed because they were much better quality than the ones I was issued.

S&Wshooter 01-22-2013 07:01 PM

I found out the other day that I'm going to be getting a refund on some withheld income from the turnaround job I had last year. If I were 21, I'd have a real hard time keeping myself from using it to put that sweet Ruger Bisley Vaquero at Collector's Firearms on layaway.

SPEMack618 01-22-2013 11:33 PM

I'm sure you could find it at a gunshow and not worry about being 21 because of all the loopholes.

I'd be 21 long before I found one at a show, unfortunately.

k9870 01-23-2013 12:01 AM

this year i want to buy something with my tax return, problem is obummer caused all guns to go out of stock.

S&Wshooter 01-23-2013 12:04 AM

I was considering getting a 10/22 since I can't get that Bisley, but I think I'll just save the money

S&Wshooter 01-23-2013 12:06 AM

3 days after the refund: "Hey guys, look at my new 10/22!"

SPEMack618 01-23-2013 12:09 AM

I think every gun owner ought to have a 10/22. Period. End of discussion.

I want a Vaquero too, but I don't want the bisley.

And I think I want mine in .44-40, but I can't seem to find a reputable, yet cheap lever gun chambered in that caliber.

And I don't want .357 or .38 special either.

I want me a cowboy caliber, damn it.

Man, I can't even get all of my fingers onto the grip of a normal Vaquero/SAA pattern revolver

k9870 01-23-2013 12:19 AM

I may get a 10-22 eventually, just i already have a savage bolt .22 and tehres other purchases to come first. I have no .45acp handgun for instance.

I want to take the next level handgun course offered here. Want an ar15 or ak. Something tactical that pisses off liberals.

SPEMack618 01-23-2013 12:22 AM

You know that's funny, I had to desire to really ever do anything with my Tec-9 or WASR-10, but now, darned if I don't enjoying shooting those every so often.

I think I have fired them more in the last month than I have since I got the two.

You know why? Because @!#$ you, Barbra and Dianne for presuming to tell me what I need. That's why.
