Will a .45LC pistol shoot a .410 shell?
 

I've been reading about the Taurus Judge, but they're a bit pricey. I've also read some back and forth statements about .45s being shot out of .410 shotguns. Will a .45LC pistol shoot .410 shells safely and legally?

Well the judge shoots both the .410 shotgun and the .45 LC rounds. It is both safe and legal

The 410 shell is too long to fit in a 45lc chamber.

I'm talking about the Judge. The chamber is long because it was designed for the .410 shotgun shells, but the chamber is big enough to fit the .45LC.

It's mostly an issue of length. Most .45 Colt pistols won't chamber a .410 shell.

Because as you can see the chamber wasn't designed to take the really long length of the .410 shells.

Just need to think about overall length of cylinder. .45 LC is not long, but .410 is extremely long for regular revolver's cylinder chamber. It doesn't mean that "a revolver for .45 LC" is also for "a revolver for .410".
