Mp5 w/ wood furniture

anyone ever seen one?
well...lemme answer that with the obvious answer
'' no, because its made by H&K and we're not operators so we wouldnt understand ''

but can it be done? or do you know of one? or have you seen one?
or do you think you could photoshop one?

i wanna see one.....

Mauser 02-16-2010 01:14 AM

Never seen or heard of one, and dont know why there would be one. I have seen AR15 with wood furniture, but not a mp5.

Zulu Two Six 02-16-2010 02:04 AM

kewl, i can has?

now, enough of that.
can i see a pic? if you have one?

and the mp5...as in wood foregrip, possibly pistol grip, and maybe even a stock.

Markost 02-16-2010 02:34 AM

The wooden furniture for the Mp5 would be something like the G3 furniture.

MT2008 02-16-2010 04:45 AM

I doubt it; H&K started manufacturing the MP5 long after they had gone to plastic furniture on the G3. The early prototypes (the HK54s) all had plastic furniture, as best I know.

But in this day and age, there are so many third-party manufacturers making clones and accessories that anything's possible...

What's the point of wooden furniture?

Zulu Two Six 02-16-2010 01:33 PM

To make it look like your grandad's gun. son.

Sometimes wooden furniture is nice, but give me synthetic. It's lighter.

And lasts longer.

Go to that link. Ive never seena AR with wood furniture in person but Rock River Arms sells them. I think the laminated stock set looks cool, ehh the walnut not so much.

ManiacallyChallenged 02-19-2010 08:27 PM

I think any thing looks better with wood on it.

Station wagons...
Handguns...
The Taurus PT92 with wood grips and stainless finish is the prettiest gun in the world, I think.

S&Wshooter 02-19-2010 09:48 PM

I totally agree. If they weren't so expensive, I'd put some on my 686 and 4506

Mauser 02-20-2010 08:04 AM

Probably one of the simplest but yet nicest way to personalize a firearm is to just put on a nice set of fine wood grips IMO. Maybe more companies will start making wood furniture for ARs. I wouldn’t mind seeing some more cool laminated stock in different colors and patterns.

Excalibur 02-20-2010 05:34 PM

An AR-15 with wood furiniture?

Oh wait, there are some. http://www.lakesideguns.com/title1/indxlm7wlnt550.jpg
