In need of a new game....what do you guys reccomend? I like FPS.

Shogo is ten years old, can run on any computer, including a laptop, and has giant robot parts, as well as on foot action.

looking soley for console games now. dont have a confortable gaming setup for my laptop.

Do you have Far Cry 2? that game is pretty badass. As a bonus, its' online multiplayer is like COD but it's harder to die, there is no cheating and there are very few pricks to annoy you

Far Cry 2 in single player really gets annoying. You run into too many technicals from going back to check points where you JUST killed the lot 5 minutes ago. I also dont like the lefty guns

I'd recommend MW2 for it's over the top action movie story that sounds like Micheal Bay did it.

While they're not first person shooters (they're third person action/stealth games), the Hitman games -- particularly Contracts and Blood Money -- have nice assortments of weapons that are often very detailed. The way the player character (47) handles and reloads his guns is also very good for games of this type.

If you're looking for a more-realistic-than-most multiplayer FPS, I highly recommend Insurgency. It's actually a mod for the Source engine (and free!), so you just need any game built on that engine (such as Half-Life 2) to be able to play the mod. It's a multiplayer-only tactical shooter based on the conflicts in Iraq/Afghanistan. It's pretty high on the realism scale. I'd say it's somewhere in between Counter-Strike and the pre-Vegas Rainbow Six games. Whatever the case, the weapons look and sound great, are animated beautifully, and they behave pretty much exactly how they should. Pistols, shotguns, assault rifles, sniper rifles, light machine guns, the RPG-7... there's even an FN FAL!

Nice, russian guns (Ak-74, Vintorez, etc) and an Stalker atmosphere (and plus, the ballistic helmet and gas mask).

once again, console only. Im looking at borderlands now, saw the other treadon it and looked it up......it looks badass.

If you get Borderlands, prepare yourself for some of the most annoying boss fights in the history of video gaming

Just level up, make use of glitches, etc. Snipers for range damage, shotguns for up and personal and anything else with a scope is always golden. When I started the game, I picked a scoped pistol over a pistol without a scope, even if that unscoped pistol has a little bit more damage. The best thing to do is get at enemies with range.

For most boss fights, try to hit them hard from a distant and run around in circles while pounding them with a shotgun.

I heard the game randomly generates weapons and you get some real wacky ones.

Well for a 360 COD6 is a no brainer. But other than that Gears of War 2 is a great game to play with friends. And if you like the whole taking cover thing Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is pretty much like MW2 but more tactical and you can take cover. You can also mod your guns to have al sorts of different kinds of scopes and sights.

And if you like Borderlands, Mass effect 2 is coming out at the end of the month. You should look it up. I enjoyed the first one.
