Fun Guns, Fake & Real - Tacticool or not

1 Attachment(s)
The thread about the Tacticool Stoeger got me to thinking about.. well, IMFDb is about Hollywood and Guns. We all know they like to get all sortsa fancy for good thematic thrill.. so.. hence this thread.

A thread about wild and fun looking firearms - from Tacticool'ed or Mallninja'd steel to fantasy mockup guns to unique flashpaper fakes. I'd like to know what some of you have sitting around on your hard drives, gun safes, friend's safes, etc. that'd make the rest of us go "Hmm!"

I'll start with this. One of those fancy 10/22 upgrades. I had some M4 types, but I can't seem to find them at the moment.

Rugers come from the factory tacticool:

At least tacticool is better than you know, bill rugers idea of a gun company (sucking up to clinton then making guns worse. Seriously, selling only 5 rounders when allowed 10, making everything have a lawyer triggeer, im glad new people are running it.

Well wish me luck on the lotto tomorrow. if I win I am going to hunt down and buy the Predator/T2 Minigun. I'd get it just because it has a godlike "Chick's Dig It" factor. Other than that I want a G3KA4 with an M-203 attached. Basically it would just look cool.

Wouldn't the grenade launcher be longer than the barrel? And whats the point of sawing down a 308 like that. Its like the g36c/grenade launcher in Gamer, why kill you muzzle velocity/accuracy when your gun is already too long to be manuverable? Id like a m21.

And why an M203 on a G3? You played too much COD4

With the 12.5 inch barrel of a G-3KA4 you are still looking at AK-47 levels of muzzle velocity and a heavier bullet with a much wider range of designs. Said G-3 varient is designed to be more manuverable in confined spaces than a standard model. In all I am trading 200m of range for a nice boost in manuverability.

as for an M203A1, both muzzles would end up stopping at the same lenght.

Excaliber I don't play COD4. I got the idea from MKE mounting a modified M203 to their G-3's.

Even if you have the money. What possible purpose do you need a grenade launcher for?

I mean, full auto firearms are one thing, but a grenade launcher. Why?

Where is that from?

And look at me, I just bought a single action Ruger Vaquero! :p

The older I get the more I want to add western guns to the arsenal. :D

Though that new Ruger 22 rifle looks like a lot of fun, it's just a dressed up 10/22 and I already have 2 of those, one old school and one of the fancy pistol versions.

I have been eye balling a few 1911's with tactical rails though. Might be the next purchase.

I capped it from some Filipino news report about Rebels in the southern Philippines.

Oh that doesn't even look real

As I get older I find that I am all about plain old double action revolvers and simple pump action shotguns. Though having done my share of searching the interiors of houses at night (in the dark) and low light level shoots (training) I do appreicate luminous night sights.

But the Tacticool interest has faded as I've aged - uh make that matured.

Excalibur 10-25-2009 03:08 AM

One gun I've really been wanting to get later on is a Schofield revolver

Ace Oliveira 10-25-2009 12:24 PM

There is nothing tactilol about an Schofield, boy.

Excalibur 10-25-2009 03:24 PM
