Rare one of a kind "Taking requests" post ....
Okay guys,
Rather than me scrolling through ALL of IMFDB looking for M4 variants help me out here. I can build up M4 variations from movie blank adapted M4 guns (even some built from Colt Sporters) ... BUT ... I need a list of what we need for all the DOZENS of movie pages. 1) M4 with carry handle attached, RIS rails, no other attachment 2) M4 with AN-PEQ2 on front rail, no carry handle, red dot sight Any others? It won't be instantaneous but I could use a list to start grabbing movie weapons and photograph them. This list is for M4 or M16 variants only!!! :) |
An M4 Carbine with an M203 Grenade Launcher attached. Is that too much to ask for? Also, can you make the custom M4 that Jeremy Renner has in 28 Weeks Later?
|
If you've got one, M4 with Masterkey would be great.
|
Don't know about how many films have this. Your image of the M4 with the M68 CCO is missing the half moon spacer that raises the CCO itself up. Without the half moon spacer the front site obstructs your view through the CCO itself.
this CCO has it. http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/5...midsection.jpg |
One with an acog, they get used a lot.

For MPM to buy a KAC Masterkey it will cost him about $2,000. So unless you want to send him the money a Masterkey isn't reasonable at this time. |
Well, that's why I said "if you've got one." I don't pretend to know.

First of all, thanks for this offer.
My personal preference is that you post M4s fitted with under-barrel weapons systems: M203 grenade launcher, M26 MASS, and the Masterkey. Of course, I am assuming you have access to them all (either in inventory, or in a friend's inventory). And I also prefer that these M4s have the six-position LE stock and KAC RAS forearms - since that stock/rail configuration is most common in both movies and the real world. |
An M16A4 with RAS and attached M203 and a Mark 12 Mod 0 are two we need and have been needing for a while.
http://www.imfdb.org/w/images/4/4a/M16A4M203.jpg As you can see, it's a composite of two images and in a configuration I've only seen used in the original Ghost Recon games. http://www.imfdb.org/w/images/a/a4/Mk12Mod0.jpg And this isn't even a rifle, it's a painting. |
The M4 with an M203 and M68 Aimpoint from The Punisher would complete the page a little.
And is Cpl. Lennox's Colt 933 from the first Transformers doable? I can't remember all the custom parts on it, but it was something of a kitted out project. |
The shorty M4 commando with the AG36 underneath and a suppressor with the red dot up front.

Do video games count? Because it'd be kind of cool to see MW2's M4A1 or ones similar to what was used in Medal of Honor.
|
What about from Transformers. With the carrying handle still attached and an ACOG attached it that
|
It's a bit of a stretch, but I'd like to see if you can get your hands and camera on a Colt Accurized Rifle, the DMR variant of the M16 sold by Colt that was used in SWAT 4. I'm sure people would be more willing to let you photograph something like if you asked them.
|
Seconding the M4 with ACOG and a M16A4 with M203 requests.

Also too many of them say "oh, don't worry, I'LL TAKE THE PHOTO and SEND IT TO YOU" .... uh, you guys know where I'm going with this right? ;) People don't realize that their pics will NOT be up to IMFDB standards and it's hard not to offend them, but seriously, these guys just can't tell the difference between our pics and snapshots taken in someone's backyard......... Anyway, schooling mode off! :D It's not easy and it's a delicate diplomatic maneuver. I actually prefer taking pics of my OWN inventory because I don't have to dance on eggshells to get permission to photograph the weapons correctly (I.e. with proper professional lighting gear, white seamless backdrops with clear box mounts). |

It looks like there's a buffer inside the mount to push the sight up. Although how you can tell one of the pictures is missing it is beyond me.
|
Would you be able to get a picture of a M3A1 Grease Gun? The only one on the site is an original M3 with the crank.
