Some shooting vids.

I'll be posting some more in the next few days. Browning Hi-Power, S&W 586, 442. |
compare how similar models stack up against each other

I still shoot or shot the best with the Loaded, but it wasn't running like it should (as you could plainly see.) I could do better with the 4505, probably just as good as I did with the Mil-Spec. But there's no way you could make the trigger as good as a 1911 though. Most of the misses you hear are me not hitting the swinger plate. Probably holding too high.

Cool videos, what kind of camera do you use?
I also had a hangup in my Springfield similar to the first one, only the casing was still in the extractor. If you find out what the problem is, let me know cause it might have something to do with my gun too. |
I noticed in your grip that you keep you thumb really high up. I was taught not to do that to avoid touching the slide and causing stoppages, as well as they say keeping your thumb pointed forward kind of helps guide you on the target better, since you're basically pointing at it.
But if it works for you, it works for you. |
Nice shades, what brand are they?
|
I was taught high thumbs, on a sig thumbs forward will ride the slide stop and cause failure to lock back. I shoot crossed thumbs now though.

Well I was running an 18lb spring, some say that might have been one of the causes. I had never took out the extractor to clean in, the tunnel was pretty dirty. I'll do an update when I take it out again. Quote:

I tired crossed thumbs case it seems to make my grip tighter. Also seemed easier on the draw (ive also been shooting my revovler a lot and crossed thmbs is the way to go thumbs forward will get it blown off.)

Seems these days everybody thinks you should go thumbs forward in the isoscelese stance. Whateer the competitors are doing is the "cool" and "correct" way. Honestly i say do what works for you, no one grip its everyone.

Apparently springfield ejectors are fairly loose and some models were not pinned. maybe a loose ejectors causing your problems?

BTW you need another wheelgun. The autos are just so dominant.....not that thats bad, bt its an excuse for more guns.

I plan on picking up a Model 19 or 66 snub in the future, 29 also probably a 4". |
I shoot revovlers worse than semis but i still just love them, i dont know why they just seem to have class.

New gun you guys haven't seen. Got it just last week. I have some footage of a few others that will be up over the next few days. |

Hope you were dropping those mags on nice and soft grass, it's not always good for them when they got dropped a lot. Great vids though. :) |

I have seen a few fragments a few yards in front of the target, but nothing to get worried about. They recommend at least a 10 yards distance. (Which is where I was at.) That spinner plate isn't as easy as it looks. It helped that I painted it a lighter color. I also keep forgetting to grease it so it spins easier. Particularly with 9mm if you don't hit the sweet spot it has a hard time spinning. With a 45 it's rare it won't spin when hit. I feel I've gotten much better with my trigger control, but still need to work with breathing. Yeah it's soft ground with dead leaves all round where I was dropping those mags. I shoot my rifles a little bit above that area and it's harder ground, so I take the mags out by hand. |

Let me know what you think. I'm glad I made the trade. Also another reason why the LC9 may not have been shooting worth a damn, the rear sight came loose! Didn't notice it until I cleaned it. |
Theres a shiny gun, wow very nice.
