Firearms Images Needed

I'd like to ask if anyone has a couple of Images to add to a couple of pages.

The Heckler & Koch HK33 page needs a HK53 carbine Image and the GE M134 Minigun Page needs it's enlarged younger brother The GAU-19/A's Image.

Should anyone else have an Image they are looking for could they post it here, please.

Orca1_9904 04-04-2009 10:15 AM

I wouldn't mind seeing a picture of a Type 99 Arisaka rifle with the Model 30 bayonet mounted. A color picture of a Mk 2 HE-Frag hand grenade and a picture of an AN/M14 incendiary grenade (looks like an all-red M18 smoke grenade with black writing) would certainly be appreciated, as well as a picture of a Heckler & Koch G3A3 with the wide forearm to replace the crappy .gif pic as seen on the Spiderman page.

Gunmaster45 04-04-2009 07:46 PM

I've posted a Heckler & Koch HK53 pic on the Boondock Saints page. I just put it on the HK33 page now, so that's one down.

Put up the Mk2 Frag and AN-M14 Incendiary grenade images up yesterday. Enjoy:)

We also need an AN94 and an AK74M.

Can't imagine there are too many movies or TV shows with those. Some games, yes, but not movies or TV shows.

Cutaway 04-06-2009 08:31 PM

The GE M134 Minigun page should have an image with the first pattern mount:

The one below is probably some prop though:

Gunmaster45 04-06-2009 08:34 PM

I just made a page for the GAU/19-A, so that's another down.

Rockwolf66 04-07-2009 06:34 PM

Gunmaster,
The GAU-19/A was origionally a General Electric product and from what I dug up when gathering sources for it's Wikipedia page. The GAU-19/A is an enlarged Minigun and I treated it as such and I had previously added it as a Minigun Varient.

Still nice work.

Gunmaster45 04-07-2009 09:24 PM

I was wondering why you called it the "little brother". I'm not a pro on Miniguns and and don't usually visit wikipedia unless I know absolutely nothing on a gun.

I'm glad I made the page though, I was watching Hulk (2003) last night and the helicopters (I think they are Cobras but I'm no good with choppers) had chin-mounted Miniguns with three barrels, so I believe they were GAU-19/As.

Rockwolf66 04-07-2009 10:03 PM

Gunmaster the AH-1 series Cobra helicopter has an M61 Vulcan varient mounted in the chin turret. the varient is called the M197 and I have added it to the M61 vulcan page already.

When I can find someone with a copy of the origional Bubblegum Crisis series I am going to have an interesting time as the Firebee Minicopters are packing the M197 when a GAU-19/A would be more realistic. Yeah I've seen the series and I have the game and the production notes are really interesting.

The helicopters which attack Hulk are RAH-66 Comanches, which is a stealth gunship that was supposed to be entering service with the U.S. Army at the time the movie was made. But only a year after the movie came out, the Comanche program got canceled.

Actually, the very earliest Cobras had a Minigun and a grenade launcher in the chin turret, but I guess that's just nitpicking.

Gunmaster45 04-08-2009 02:12 AM

BTW Rockwolf, you can call me John if you want, it is a lot shorter than Gunmaster.

I don't know anything about helicopters so I'll take your words for it. I'm nabbing some shots from Hulk now, I'll make sure I label them as M197.

Rockwolf66 04-08-2009 02:41 AM

no problem John,
We all have our strenghts and our weaknesses when it comes to firearms. Trust me I'm related to a gun collector and while I can get firearms down to a specific family I'm lost when it comes to some of the more numerous subtypes.

We could also do with an AK-103 mounting a GP-30 grenade launcher, as I believe there's a few games that include that combination.

Rockwolf66 04-10-2009 06:09 PM

John,
I am going to Remake the GAU-19/A Page and fix all the links so that they direct there. If you still have the info could you re upload the Images.

Thanks

Paul

Gunmaster45 04-10-2009 09:04 PM

Yeah sure, but not today. I'm too mad about all the work I lost.

Rockwolf66 04-16-2009 01:25 AM

Could I request a picture of the Vektor CR-1 bullpupped R-4/ Galil assault rifle?

MT2008 04-16-2009 01:38 AM

For the record, MoviePropmaster is not taking picture requests at this moment.

Rockwolf66 04-16-2009 01:59 AM

I know, this thread is about what firearms need Images and it's so that we have a place where anyone who has a firearm Image that the forum does not have of a movie firearm can see what is needed.

Orca1_9904 05-28-2009 09:49 PM

I'd still like to see an AK-103 with a GP-30 grenade launcher, and an AIMS with an orange bakelite magazine would also be appreciated.

Those were RAH-66 Comanches, now canceled I believe.

Le gasp! I sort of have a Type 99 Arisaka! Not the means to get a good photograph though, I'm sure.

Do you have the Type 30 bayonet that goes with it? If so, that'd be a great addition as we don't have any bayonet-equipped Arisaka rifle photos on our site.

Orca1_9904 05-31-2009 12:05 AM

I just posted a couple pics of an AH-1 Cobra in the Fire Birds article, albeit with a somewhat unusal gun armament (twin miniguns on what appears to be an F-model Cobra).

Gunmaster45 05-31-2009 03:17 AM

My dad has an Arisaka with a bayonet in his old room at my grandparents house. I'll check and see if its the right type when I get a chance and if it is I'll snap a shot of it.

AdAstra2009 05-31-2009 04:11 AM

If anyone has a Beretta 92FS-C Compact (not centurion) that would be useful.

Gunmaster45 05-31-2009 05:20 AM

What's the difference? Is the Centurion more compact?

AdAstra2009 05-31-2009 05:22 AM

This is a centurion:
http://www.weekendhobby.com/gun/webb...1255110380.jpg
This is a Beretta92fs-C Compact
http://world.guns.ru/handguns/beretta92fs-c.jpg
The compact's grip is shorter, you can't use that photo for imfdb though because it's from world.guns.ru and from what I gather the website author doesn't like people stealing his images.
http://pics.gunbroker.com/GB/1303760...1041686281.jpg
And heres a better image but we can't use that either because it's from gunbroker.

Gunmaster45 05-31-2009 05:42 AM

Ah, I see. Thanks for clearing that up.

That would be an excellent addition, can't wait to see it!

ManiacallyChallenged 06-01-2009 05:17 AM

I know the nice thing about my Arisaka is that it has the Chrysanthemum still on it, although the finish is piss poor. No bayonet, unfortunately.

Gunmaster45 06-01-2009 08:04 PM

I haven't been over to my dad's old room lately so no luck yet. But I'm trying.

With my luck it will be the wrong model or something.

Gunmaster45 06-06-2009 08:31 PM

I checked the gun and it is a Type 99 Carbine with a Type 30 bayonet. I can't reach it though behind all of his crap though so I'll have to figure this out....

AdAstra2009 06-13-2009 03:29 AM

Does anyone have an image of a Chinese Type-63 Assault Rifle?

Why would you want one? Is there any entry in IMFDB that needs one? It's just an SKS with a detachable 20 round magazine. The SKS-M can substitute, can't it?

AdAstra2009 06-13-2009 07:04 AM

The Type 63 Assault Rifle is in The Kite Runner article.

http://www.imfdb.org/index.php/The_Kite_Runner

It differs from the SKS in that it is select-fire, and has the internals of an AK rifle according to Guns of the world.

http://world.guns.ru/assault/as48-e.htm

It's not imperative, I'm just seeing if anyone has an image or access to one.

Orca1_9904 07-12-2009 10:14 AM

Another gun I think we could use would be a Valmet M78 in 7.62x39mm with a Dragunov-style stock, as seen in Predator and Commando. Another one in 7.62x51mm NATO with the same stock as well as a scope and laser pointer would help the Light It Up and The Negotiator articles as well.

Gunmaster45 07-13-2009 12:59 AM

I finally reached the gun and after I clean it up a little bit, I snap a pic of it.
