4'' Barrel blued steel wood grips. Friend sold it to finance another purchase so I got a good deal, shoots very nice, surprising for a taurus. Pics Later. Love It!

How much was it?

Everything in photos + another box of ammo and a small box of hollowpoints was 300.

That's pretty cheap. Especially since I've heard a bunch of good things about it

Bought from a friend, so he cut me a deal. Its a k frame, shoots very nice, I was impressed, hear all the taurus bashing but this is great, its an older gun i believes 80's manufactured.

I think Taurus actually makes good stuff, it's just that their customer support (at least in Canada) isn't so good.

k9870 01-12-2011 01:41 AM

At least they offer a lifetime warranty though, too many guns offer a year only. And Taurus doesn't require you to be original owner. Sure I'd rather have a Smith and Wesson but this was a very good deal.

I don't have a problem with Taurus, but with old Smith & Wesson guns floating around everywhere, I don't think I'd ever buy one myself. Regardless, 300 for a whole kit like that is a great deal, and you get to help your buddy out in the process. Happy shooting!

Looks like it was a great deal with all the extras. Enjoy.

I need to work on DA (which will help my range quals may finally qualify, we use SIG DAK.) This will be a fun shooter.

Going to need accessories, I have 2 HKS loaders and will need more. Maybe some safariland loaders their supposed to be very good. Also, my holster is a little stiff. Its made for very secure field carry, i need a smooth holster for the range.

I have a Safariland speedloader for my j-frame Model 442. I don't really care for it. I haven't tried HKS, I think the Safariland was cheaper the reason I went with it. The best speed loader I have got is made by Dade Screw Machine. I bought two for my Model 586. They're out of business (I got mine off ebay), they're are the easiest to load and unload. The rounds just click into place, no twisting to lock etc. To unload just press the back, no turning or anything. Not sure how they'll do with hard use, but I like how they work. Wish I would have bought more for other frame sizes.

Id rather have some press speed loaders than the spin type.
