So what do you guys think of the new FALL LINEUP!?

Television wise?

The Walking Dead: A series about a group of survivors fighting a world overrun by zombies, trying to get to a 'safe zone'. (derivative but probably tons of gunplay and a recurring series about zombies?!?!?! That i gotta see!).

Fallen Skies: A big budget Spielberg helmed series about an alien invasion where a small group of survivors and soldiers use GUNS to fight off the aliens. Again, a recurring series. Ought to have a lot of nice gun play. Actually slated for 2011.

Nikita: no more needs to be said. Maggie Q in the title role as a female assassin. :)

Man the cool shows that kids today have. When I was growing up, well, we didn't have VCRs, Cable and was forced to watch the CRAP that the big three (ABC, CBS, NBC) were throwing at us. Life for television shows pretty much sucked (except for some of the good comedies).

S&Wshooter 07-26-2010 02:35 AM

The Walking Dead sounds good. The rest...not as much

Mandolin1 07-26-2010 02:49 AM

Nikita has already been done 3 times (French movie, American remake, Canadian TV series, what county gets the new series?) and the new series isn't really that related. My understanding is that she's out of Section 1 and is working to bring it down. I am looking forward to The Cape, if for no other reason than is has Summer Glau .

Spartan198 07-26-2010 05:15 AM

The Walking Dead looks like it might be pretty cool, but from what they said about it at Comic-Con, it's gonna be more plot-driven than action-oriented.

Fallen Skies sounds interesting, though I don't know anything about it beyond what MPM just said.

And Nikita... well, what else besides "Maggie Q" needs to be said?

I dont really watch TV on TV anymore, so if a show does catch my eye, I'd just download it

k9870 07-26-2010 11:41 AM

Cant wait until just the regular shows start, Human target, the office, and burn notice and psych are on right now so no wait. Top shot is on now. Well, i need to look into the new shows.

MT2008 07-27-2010 12:00 AM

"Fallen Skies", I might watch, but not sure about the other two. I rarely watch TV any more; this year, "V" and "Chuck" have been the only shows I watched (the former because I liked the original, the latter because of Yvonne Strahovski).

Krel 07-27-2010 02:15 AM

I like "The Good Guys", a funny, action Cop show from the guy that does "Burn Notice". And "The Glades" won me over in the first episode when he shot the Alligator. "You can't do that, it is a protected species"! "If so, then why did I have such a clear shot"? :D

David.

I'm appalled that the original Law and Order was canceled.

ManiacallyChallenged 08-10-2010 06:00 AM

I tried to like "the Good Guys" but it was just too low budget for me. At least it felt low budget. I'd hate to deny it categorically/out of hand, but I just didn't find it very watchable. Burn Notice is better.

The zombie thing sounds like a slightly more interesting version of The Colony. The colony has the semi-reality aspect going for it, but it has no real tension, or of course, gunplay.

The original law and order was probably canceled because it's old as the hills. :D

S&Wshooter 08-10-2010 06:03 AM

I like The Good Guys, but it does seem pretty low budget

funkychinaman 08-10-2010 12:36 PM

I've been enjoying the Good Guys. (I'm shocked no one has done a page yet. I might have to step up.) It doesn't feel that cheap to me.

Law and Order might have been old, but it was dependable, and it could be cheap. They probably make a ton of money off of selling the reruns because it's one show where you can watch any episode and not have to worry about not having watched any previous episodes or later episodes. (Never a "Previously, on Law and Order...) Also, if the cast starts to demand too much money, then you can always recast, they've done it so many times. You had a great pool of NY theatre talent at your disposal to guest star.

The only thing I don't like about The Good Guys is the digital muzzle flash that sometimes show up. It's fun to see Bradley Whitford (Dan Stark) in a role where he's not a prick.

I have actually quit watching Burn Notice. Got burned out on it.

funkychinaman 08-10-2010 05:31 PM

I hope that's just a lot of makeup on Bradley Whitford, because he looks like hell. Granted, I never watched West Wing, so the last thing I saw him in was Billy Madison, but that was only fifteen years ago.

He was born in '59. So he's 50+. He's an alcoholic in the show, so he's supposed to look like hell. The last thing I saw him in was Billy Madison too.

I;m a fan of Smallville. The final season looks badass

bunni 08-18-2010 09:38 PM

I'm glad they're bringing back Sons of Anarchy. They're getting ready to film episode 12. I'm not sure if we'll see it this year though.

zenner22 08-19-2010 01:32 AM

I watch the Good Guys. It's ok, mildy entertaining. As far as cheap production values they did do a closeup once where a bad guy was threatening someone with a silver painted plastic toy gun. It wasn't even a prop. It was something off the shelf at Toys R Us. Embarrassing.

Still watching Burn Notice, but I've grown tired of it as well.

Just finished making the Nikita page on here. I thought it was good, had several of the old familiar bits [Chick in on robbery gone wrong, sentenced to death/ "commits suicide", makes up in room (Not an all-white cell this type, I'm glad), tries to escape( But this time, gives up w/o getting shot)] and some new stuff. The rest of the cast looks good, and I'm glad that the character of Birkhoff no longer looks like a 14-year old kid (Seriously, watch some La Femme Nikita, he looks about 14.). Only think I didn't like was Alex talking to Nikita at the end. Seriously, did Nikita arrange for her to get recruited? Was she the other pig-face in the begining? That's worse the Nikita's dad getting her drafted in LFN.

MT2008 10-10-2010 07:50 PM

Been watching the "Hawaii Five-0" remake. It's crap, as I expected it would be. So I have no good explanation for why I'm still watching the new episodes on Hulu. The best excuse I can come up with is that (1.) the two leads are SIG guys, like me, and (2.) it's got Grace Park.

This show also gets the award for, "Most Blatant Gun Continuity Errors of the Year." Two big ones in the second episode alone, both of which I documented on the IMFDB page for the show.

Excalibur 10-10-2010 08:33 PM

I've been watching Hawaii Five-0 just for the gun appearance. The second episode had P90s with suppressors. The suppressors looked a bit big and I wonder if those are actually PS90s with shrouds covering the long barrel.

Swordfish941 10-29-2010 03:10 AM

The only TV show I'm looking forward to is this:
