FPS Loadout
Well I had the idea for my game you may remember so heres the loadout I'm thinking:
I want to make it so it's not all your stereotype videogame guns, so the rebels have common wepaons or something new. Everyone can carry 2 main weapons, a sidearm, and backup pistol. Civilian National Defense Force: (a national miltary/Swat like unit) Famas Glock 17 Taurus Judge (more as a joke) DSR-1 M249 PGO mossberg 500 Department of change: Glock 26 Some Famases in patrol cars Mossberg 500 Chinese military: QBZ-95 QSZ-92 psitol QCW-05 (special Forces) QBU-88 Qbb-95 Ttpe 67 (on tanks/APCs) Russian tt-33-officers Militia (friendly to CNDF and china-backed) Type 56 rifles 9mm police revolver (the new one based on 38 s&W ammo chinese police are issuing) Type 67 MG SKS/Norinco SKS Venezuelan Military: AK-47: Reseve Ak-74: Mainline infantry Aks-74u: Special Forces/Vehicle troops PKM pt-92 U.S. Military: SCAR-h Colt 1911 m240b m1014 p90 mp5-sd Rebels: Rebels can pick up weapons of any faction but can use any of the following, and are usually found starting with: Pistols: Springfield TRP Smith 627 performance center Sig p226 (357 Sig) Ruger super redhawk Cz-52 (crude but effective against soft body armor) 4506 Phillips and Rodgers model 47 (can use jsut about any ammo in the 9/38/.357 range) CZ-97 Backup psitols: J-Frame .38 sig 232 Bersa .380 LCP PPK Cz-83 not supressed Shotguns: Benelli m1 Remington 870 Stoeger Coach gun Rifles: Ar-15 Ruger Mini-14 PTR-91 m1 carbine Sniper: CZ 550 6.5x55 Remington 700 .300 mag Tikka t3 .30-06 Savage weather warrior .308 (each has differnet stats/abilities based on trajectory/power) Covert: Supressed 10-22 target (can knock out lights, puncture tires to immobolize enemy vehicles, make headshots, etc, silently) Hi Standard/Ruger supressed .22 autos Silenced cz-83 |

A 16 inch piston AR, nice. Thats new standard for Tankers and pilots. Id also have more guns for factions, but its gameplay ahs two basics
Military: Soldiers engage in large scale military operations, air and armor support, tactics and all. Have standard issue weapons and top notch gear. Rebels: Trying to resist occupation. Aid the military, like the resistance in ww2. Use whatever weapons availible, and different tactics (ambush, etc.) Here you see the everyday weaponry. |
And Spartan, good idea. I ahve a whole background story and even more factions than shown. I ll do more tomorrow.

I have another Idea, ammo types. Like a 357 can fire .38s for lower recoil and faster follow ups, but less power. You can use FMJ for punching through enemy cover better, with less stopping power, of jhp for stopping power but less penetration, or jsp to split the difference. Or +P in autos for more power but more recoil. And the P&R model 47 can feed 9x19, 357 38 9x18 etc:D

Nato ammo is known to work well with the 16 inch and up though. Maybe a 10.5 inch for pilots. The infantry uses SCAR Hs, Because I like .308:D
I have 2 more factions to do: Mercenary Company: Mercs hired to take out resistance, bad guys, use some nice stuff Thugs: A gang trying to take down resistance for bounty on them, uses street junk, like lorcin/raven 25s some 380s maybe an occasional glock and higher ranking ones use status symbols like the tec 9 and tehir bosses may have a stryker, ak, etc. Im thinking the resistance can find a cache of class 3 weapons, like an m16a1, colt 9mm smg, fn fnc, steyr aug, sterling smg, stechkin aps, just a random assortment |

One goal of mine would be to put in good weapons that never get in video games a chance on screen

Put some bolt guns in. A Remington 700 or M40A1/A3 is a common one, so maybe something less known like the Ruger M77 or the Winchester Model 70 could be in it.
While this isn't super likely, adding .22 rifles like Ruger 10/22s or some .22 bolt action would be an interesting change. You'd be amazed how effective a .22 round can be. A .22 Magnum round is highly underrated, if you ever have a chance to buy an 8 or 9-shot .22 Magnum snub, do it. Those guns are very effective. Put some older guns in, Single Action Armys, whatever. A Springfield XD still has yet to shine in the gaming world.... |
Gunmaster, i planned a integrally supressed 10-22 target as a stealth gun. And the remington 700, winchester 70, savage, etc, would all be snipers used by resistance. The XD would make an apparence, I want the FNP-45 in there too

U.S. Vehicle troops The vehicle troops will be armed with mostly older u.s. weapons since there combat role is limited and they are more vehicle suppor. m16- standard rifle m4-carried by officer Springer TRP still 870 entry gun Browning m2 mounted on vehicles fn p90 used by drivers Pilots: Pilots are given smaller, easier to carry weapons since they have almos no combat role unless shot down. Colt 9mm SMG Sig p228 Mercenaries: Mercenary company friendly to the hostile forces. Poorly armed. Baisc thugs have: Lorcin, raven, other saturday night special .25acps kel tec p-32 Lorcing, Jiminez, .380s Jennings j-22 Next level have hi-point 380s and 9s, and some rossi snubnoseds, Some higher ups have glocks, ruger p- series, etc. highest level (kind of like officers of gang) have tec-9, mac-10/11, and skorpion |
What sort of world does this take place in, a near future? Also, here's a loadout I just thought of:
MJ12, the men behind the men. These government agents and Men in black carry the following, all discontinued weapons, now manufactured and improved by MJ12 for its field agents. Pistols: Sig P210- with extended magazine and rails. Bren Ten Compact, these MIBs have had liquid badass injections so as to handle the recoil of this, and to be able to fire the VP70 without a stock. VP 70z Calico 9mm smg Spas-12, because no fps is complete without one. XM8 rifle, cause it looks cool and futuristic. My 2 Imperial credits, tell me what you think. |
I want to add the gods of video games (m249, 416, and deeg .50)
Ill make the SAW finnicky like in real life, the hk 416 inaccurate like real life, and the deeg a horribly uncontrollable handgun (not like the ultimate combat handgun its portrayed) Guns will jam, need care, and parts will wear down (like, you need to buy a new extractor if yours breaks) Guns will lose accuracy as barrel heats up Spare guns will be carried in backpack, you need to stop, open bag and take out, you don't have the quick acess limited inventory. Ill never make a game, but its fun to think about, and yes, near future. |
