Ive followed since season 1. Love it. Im kind of wondering how the last 8 episodes will go though since all the bad guys have been neutralized, hopefully they have some good action and not a load of political stuff. What do you think will happen?
BTW, even though its the last season, do you think theyll have another movie or something? |
Didn't they already announce a real-time movie was going to be the next step?

I only saw the announcement that this is the last season. I hope they make a movie, I dont know how they could pull off real time though.

Well they did to that TV movie and it was in real time...sort of.

The TV movie skipped around. I jsut hope they stop with the 100 yard pistol shots that defeat body armor.

Is it just me or is this season not nearly as interesting as the previous ones have been?

I kinda see that, but last season managed to squeeze in rouge CTU guys with Private Contractors trying to run the government to an all out attack on the White House. Don't think this last season can top all that.
What I have notice is Jack Bauer having a better grip on his guns than early seasons. |
This season has 8 episodes left, the main attacks stopped and theres no new bad guys present. I wonder how theyll continue

Seriously, season 7 was more entertaining

The problem with this season had been the same as season 6. After a string of episodes that ranged from decent to stellar, it ran into a brick wall at high speed. Almost from the moment the Russian Mafia stopped being a factor (and to be honest, I was really liking the direction THAT was going in), really. The reintroduction of Middle Eastern terrorists wanting to do massive damage to another American city was something that has been done over and over in the series, ad nauseum. Then, on top of that, the whole redneck subplot was a massive interest drain. The way they handled that was impossibly stupid.
That said, this week's episodes were among the series' best, and really brought back the "old" 24, so to speak. Things actually went places, and the ending of the second episode is probably one of the hardest-hitting since (SPOILER WARNING!!!!) George Mason suicide-piloted the nuke away from Los Angeles in S2. (End Spoilers.) The rest of the season shows great promise - hopefully, they don't muck it up like they did Season 6. |
