You need to add a badass anti-hero type character to compete with the main characters. Later in the book have him take two in the chest and die while saving their asses from certain death, but not before imparting some useful intel

Only clique action movies and the works of Uwe Boll have the bad ass anti hero. Besides, K9870 suggested a great crew. I'll probably introduce all my characters during the breakfast scene.

What are the other mercs they meet supposed to be like? Tough guys with excess testoterone who think they own the place? Solid pros with SF backgrounds? Misfits kicked out of other units?
