^Yeah, it suits the French. :p
Anyhow, which "right-hand guy" do you guys like more, Ghost or Gaz? I'd have to go with Ghost because, despite that we never see his real face, he seemed to have a lot more character than Gaz did (though I do miss Gaz' one-liners :(). |
I think its funny to read game forums where people complain about guns beeing "noob guns" or "over powered" or "easy to use."
If its powerful and easy to use, why dont you use it? Why limit yourself to sucky gear. Then, why don't you get some skill and learn to paly instead of bitching about peoples gear. General consensus is i have a noob gun (OMG, burst fire so unfair.) Gotta say, i hate heartbeat sensors, find them useless, and the TMP is the most ball sucking gun in the game, it has 15 round amgs and a rediclous fire rate so you cant engage more than 1 guy. |
The only situation when the heartbeat sensor is useful is in the mission where you and Soap infiltrate the airbase during the blizzard. Believe me, I've played the Special Ops mission based on that map and without the heartbeat sensor, it's a nightmare.
I also make occasional use of it in the second-to-last mission with the special ACR (special in that its max ammo level is 1,260 rounds instead of the standard ACR's 650 rounds) when playing higher difficulty levels. |
I think they fixed matchmaking, I haven't had to wait around for games, its quicker now.
|
There are also random times when you can actually jump into a mod map. I once went into a Ground war, full capacity of 18 players for TDM, but then it happened to be a mod map because you cant have a TDM in Rust and there are also flags for Domination. The winning score is 15,000 points from the flags and you can shoot all you want

Ive seen 8 nukes in 2 days and noticed something...apparently the new thing is cheating your way to nukes. Go to free for all, have friend spawn with tac insertion, and kil them. The final score will usually say : top player: 32-1
bottom-26-0 Whats with this shit. |
Anyone else noticed how the scene where Faust kills the two gunmen looks quite a lot like the scene in Collateral with Tom Cruise taking down the thugs in street? The Rock also came to mind strongly in russian prison (shower room fight) and the Patriotic "wave your flares to call off the fighter attack" thing at Ramirez's last level in game.

Faust fired way too many rounds from that Desert Eagle, though...

Damnit they need a patch to take out the tactical insertion....its crap equipment anyway and wont be missed, theres just too many cheaters using it to call in nukes.
BTW, anyone find it funny shepherd is all gung ho like "rangers lead the way" and picks up allen, then strolls off nonchalantly behind some bushes? |

Another scene that reminded me of a movie is the elevator scene in No Russian. It reminded me of the first Die Hard when the Germans were loading up guns in the elevator and getting out guns blazing.
|
I think its funny level 70 is commander, and considered higher than, you know, general?
My favorite game mode was free for all, but these assholes cheat at least 1/4 of the games to get nukes so now i do ground war. Fuck it. I cant wait till they get rid of tactical insertion. |
Today i played the oil rig level and thought it was funny you use seal delivery vehicles to travel like 100 yards......why not just swim? And usually subs stay way arther away from a target.

I can't believe how many people on the Call of Duty wiki keep calling the M4A1 in MW2 the "S-System"... What the hell is an "S-System" anyway...?

An airsoft term

Am I the only one sorely disappointed by this game? COD4 came pretty close to actually getting everything correct (minus details like the M16 being full-auto). I thought MW2 was going to continue along the same path and become the most visually realistic war game ever. But Infinity Ward took it in the completely opposite direction.
|
Neither was anything close to realistic, play operation flashpoint for realism. COD4 had a good plot though that was quite believable, Mw2.....welll......

It's official: Call of Duty is headed to Vietnam next.

Cant wait till they show some gameplay footage.

But it's made by Trey-arch and their last game, World at War wasn't really the best because by that time, I was just fed up with WWII games.
Though what kind of weapon choices will there be? the M16 and AK47s, I guess. Maybe M14s for snipers. Nam was before any prolific submachine guns, so they might bring back a lot of WWII guns |
World at War was a solid game though, better detailed enviroments than COD 4 and guns actually recoiled off target, just bad timing with the whole ww2 thing. Vietnam should be great for a game from them.
|
World at War used the SAME game engine as COD4. Oh yeah, it had fire effects like no one's business, but that's it. The levels got a bit confusing, there was too much jungle and you get tired of it.
|
At least we know a full-auto M16 won't be inaccurate this time around.
|
Let's just hope they dont have an M16 with a 20 round mag, but the counter reads 30.

Great. Now I can invite my uncle Robert (who was a SEAL in 'Nam) over, show him this game, and induce some crazy ass flashbacks
|
Not all vets get crazy flashbacks. Some really love their job in the service.
|
He gets crazy flashbacks though. That's why he can't go into crowded places
