I can't do that. Peter Jackson's cast can never be replaced. Can I recast Hawaii 5-O?

Swordfish941 09-19-2010 07:44 PM

Here's my recast of Hawaii 5-O:

Elijah Wood - Steve McGarrett

Jason Segel - Danny "Danno" Williams

John Cho - Kono Kalakaua

Ken Watanabe - Chin Ho Kelly

Kurtwood Smith - Governor Paul Jameson

I don't know why they just don't do a continuation of Miami Vice. Don Johnson can come back as Lt. Sonny Crockett and he can lead a new squad of detectives. You can bring back one or two of the original cast members for guest roles every once and awhile. Who wouldn't watch that?

That's a really good idea

Don Johnson is a raging alcoholic that nobody wants to work with.

Well, so was Crockett. Fine, bring back the black dude to play Lt. Rico Tubbs. (Honestly, I just can't remember his name right now. Philip Thomas Michael, or Michael Philip Thomas, I always have trouble with the guys with three first names.) Don Johnson can make occasional guest appearances as Sonny Crockett, Private Investigator.

Engrish is always hilarious

Verily, let us all pile on the person who obviously regards English as a second language. How backward this person is, this non-native English speaker. Let us point out his or her obvious differences and make light of them.

Grow up.

Do you have to put that stick up your ass every morning or do you just leave it in when you go to bed?

Listening to Sabaton makes me want to:

a. Go play Oblivion and go all Viking Berserker on some people

b. Play Call of Duty 2

c. Buy their new album

I want to dropkick him and his puppets in the face. Now Denis Leary, he's a good stand up comedian.

I freakin' loved his rant on how it's impossible to find coffee-flavored coffee now-a-days.

I've heard that from quite a few different comedians

But he goes completely batshit. The three comedians I really hate are Carlos Mencia, Dane Cook, and Chris Tucker.

It either wants out or a saucer of cream. Or probably it wants attention.

Swordfish941 09-21-2010 03:10 AM

They should make another biopic of Lenny Bruce (mainly focusing on the obscenity trial). I vote for Danny Masterson as Lenny Bruce and Bijou Phillips as Honey Bruce.

funkychinaman 09-21-2010 03:25 AM

I do most of my reading in the gym now, and I've only stopped and refused to finish two things: the official 9/11 report because it was too depressing, and one of Ann Coulter's books, because it was too embarrassing.

Swordfish941 09-21-2010 02:18 PM

Here's my recast of Red Dragon:

William Graham - Danny Masterson

Dr. Hannibal Lector - Gary Oldman

Francis "The Toothfairy" Dolarhyde - Elijah Wood

Jack Crawford - Viggo Mortensen

Molly Graham - Bijou Phillips

funkychinaman 09-21-2010 02:29 PM

Here's a challenge, re-cast the A-Team, BUT, only using actors who would be likely to commit to a television series. (So you can't cast George Clooney as Hannibal Smith.)

I was hoping they were do a remake of the A-Team rather than a movie, except they'd all be ex-Delta Force Somalia vets, and the crime they didn't commit was an assassination they did at the behest of the CIA, which was later denied. It'd be less humorous and more serious, because at the end of the day, these men were still wanted by the US government. Basically, a new A-Team series for fans of the old show when they were kids but who were now adults.

Swordfish941 09-21-2010 03:24 PM

Piece of cake:

Mark Hamon - Colonel John "Hannibal" Smith

Matthew Fox - Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck

Dennis Haysbert - Sgt. B.A. Baracus

Seth Green - Captian H.M. "Howlin' Mad" Murdock

funkychinaman 09-21-2010 04:37 PM

I agree on Mark Harmon. Or Adam Arkin, the poor man's George Clooney. Dennis Haysbert? I'm not sure he'd be willing to go from playing the President of the United States to a role first played by master thespian Mr. T. I was thinking more along the lines of Terry Crews. He's got the build, and he can be funny. Seth Green seems a bit too young for Murdock too. Maybe Matthew Lillard? He can do crazy. I didn't watch Lost or Party of Five, so I'm not familiar with the work of Matthew Fox. Can he play sleazy?

AMERICA! fuck yeah!

BurtReynoldsMoustache 09-21-2010 07:31 PM

Jurassic Park! Swordfish, do Jurassic Park! Don't forget the kids!

Edit: Bonus points if you cast based on the descriptions in the original book instead of just reimagineering the movie, including omitted characters.
