I've said it before, and I'll say it again.

Give it an ACOG scope, that day / night sight from the M320, and if that doesn't work stick it underneath a TDI Vector instead of a front grip.

The Wierd It 09-15-2012 07:52 AM

I think that might be overdoing it a tad.

Spartan198 09-15-2012 08:31 PM

It would appear that the M240 with spade grips and pistol grip in Medal of Honor wasn't a screw up after all...

SPEMack618 09-16-2012 04:06 PM

Dude, they mount the spade gripped -240 on Blackhawks and assorted vehicles.

k9870 09-16-2012 04:59 PM

A buddy of mine said they actually prefer the 240 on vehicles in afghanistan sometimes, depending on terrain as it handles quicker on the mount and is more than powerful enough for mot engagements.

Yes, but I've never seen a 240D or H with spade grips and a pistol grip at the same time. This was what struck me as odd, this one having both at once instead of one or the other.

It's not unheard of.
Here's a lewis gun in the same config.

Yeah, but that mounting only has one spade grip and it doesn't have a trigger on it. I guess the idea there was to give it a better range of motion without a stock to get in the way.

S&Wshooter 09-17-2012 02:21 PM

My Zune just played for an hour on what it was saying was an empty battery. I'm sure it would continue playing longer than that, but I had to put it away.

SPEMack618 09-17-2012 05:48 PM

I'm re-reading Unintended Consequences and it is still just as good.

I hate people who think I have to justify myself to them.

By George, you have a point all the ones I remember seeing had just the spad grips.

Th guys in our Heavy Truck company preferred them because they had more "umpf" than the SAW but easier for the girls to manage than the M-2.

That gun is kind of a screw up as well, as it lacks the linkage on the left side of the rear of the receiver to operate the trigger from the spade grips. This linkage is an integral part of the little vestigial pistol grip that is found on variants like the M240D, which is removed and replaced with the infantry pistol grip as part of the egress kit. Essentially this means that I don't think you can have a full size pistol grip installed and have functional spade grips, the ones shown above are purely for show. Similarly, the Medal of Honour gun doesn't have the linkage so wouldn't function, hence still a screw up.

I went shooting with my cousin earlier and rented a few guns

S&W M&P9: I shot very well with it, and I really liked it

Taurus PT99AF: Neither I nor my cousin liked it. We couldn't shoot accurately with it at all, and it was having issues with all the ammo we ran through it, and the mag was junk

Swordfish941 09-24-2012 12:56 AM

Question: How much does a Glock 22 cost? I'm planning on buying one when I turn 21.

AdAstra2009 09-24-2012 03:04 AM

disregard bad link

S&Wshooter 09-26-2012 12:43 AM

My Expedition broke down earlier, so now I have to rely on other people to get around

S&Wshooter 09-26-2012 05:32 AM

I saw earlier that Spyderco makes left-handed knives, and it got me thinking about seeing if I could have them switch the pocket clips over to the left side. I need to get new clips for two of them, anyways, and the knives already have the holes needed to mount the clips on to the left side of the handle.

For one of you Marvel fans out there, is there any plan for General Ross to come back in the Marvel Cinema universe?

None that I've heard. The only Marvel films announced ATM are Thor 2, Captain America 2, Avengers 2, and Ant-Man. I figure if Ross is to return, it'd be in a Hulk film.

SPEMack618 10-03-2012 06:47 PM

Fineeeeeeeeeeeee. Never really liked the Hulk and always felt bad for GEN Ross. I thought it would have been cool for him to command the Army troops in the Avengers climax.

I'll probably buy a Bowie knife later today, since I have to go by the local sporting goods place to pick up some boxes of the type of 7mm-08 load my brother and I use.

Schrade. I saw an ad the other day that stated that they were on sale, so I figure I'll take advantage of that.

Just looked them up and not a bad looking knife. Me I'd love to get a Cold Steel or a Bill Bagwell Bowie knife. I've examined both styles and they really fit my tastes in big knives.

This one? Schrade has a few Bowies, and I think this is one of cheapest ones
