Find a way to make them comfortable. They don't even need to be mocassins, make your own boots or whatever.

well you got to get your exact size, use a good machine or something. I used to be be buying a size too big to try and fit, then found out im a wide size, and shoes are a lot better now.

It isn't as big as you think. I mean how often do you really look down at a guy's feet?

Yeah, they only look big compared to other feet side-by-side

Finally! I bought a pair of boots made by Coleman (same guys who make Coleman lanterns, etc) and they fit very comfortably. They were reasonably priced too, which is a huge plus

All the insulation in one of those Coleman boots bunched up in one place, and it is starting to cause foot pain. If the insole wasn't sewn into the boot, I'd fix it, but all my attempts have failed. I think I'm going to cruise around town next month and try to get boots from an actual store.

How are those Danners working out, k9870

k9870 12-14-2010 11:41 PM

They arrive tomorrow, ill give you an update once ive worn them a bit.

Ive heard they take a while to break in but once they do there great.

Got em today, I can say im impressed

these are Danner stryker 2 all leather side zip, i got on clearance for 130 at la police gear, actual price will be higher. They have a composite safety toe.

The zipper is smooth and easy to use, and all leather construction is sturdy and good looking. Has inserts inside for foot support and are removable i there not your thing. The waterproof lining is sweet. My old SWAT boots were only water resistant, these have a wateproof linging on the insode of the tounge so nothing can come in through the laces, and a flexible one is inside the zipper area so thats covered too. I will post an update when ive worn them enough to break them in.
