I'm not self centered. It has been drilled into my head since I was able to actually understand what I was hearing that I should ALWAYS help people in need. My parents. their parents, and their parent's parents were all the same way.

Solipsism means being self-centered in the sense that you perceive your opinions as being the only valid ones.

You would have to be an idiot to believe you are always right. No one is correct in all situations

Right, but saying that because you endured a long ride in a 4-door sedan, every kid should be able to, is basically the same kind of faulty logic. It implies that what's good enough for you is good enough for everyone.

Anyway, we've gotten badly sidetracked. The whole reason we brought up minivans is because k9870 said they're girly. Do you think they are girly?

What I like is when I hear family or family friends saying "with kids on the way we need a van."

Ugh. Hated my parent's old van, and every van since then. Not fun to drive, less fuel effecient than a car, back seats (3rd row) are often unusable to anyone ove 6 years of age there that small, soem vans fixed that by making back row have more legroom, but then you ahve less storage space in the back.. A cars plenty. I jsut believe vans are overrated, seeing everyone thinks its necessary when you have kids. Ill never buy one. Never seen it do what my accord cannot.

Priuses just look like crap and im not fond of hybrid technology.

It's more nerdy than it is girly

*SIGH*

Well, to each his own. But for your own sake, please don't go around talking to people this way.

No, I'd get into too many fights if I did

I'd worry more about just plain alienating people.

But again...I have faith you will mature.

With 2 kids a 4-door car is okay. 3 starts pushing it. I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters so we had to have a van. I effin hated it, but plenty of room. I had to learn to drive on it too. Vans get better gas mileage than larger SUVs (smaller engines and lighter weight) but vans aren't cool SUVs are.

I don't think a Prius is girly if that's what you want to drive, do it. But I want a car with some balls, so I drive a Mustang.
