It is most certainly and without a doubt a 3913. Read my post above the last one.

OK, after checking the S&W catalog from 1993, I think YourNameHere is actually right and I was wrong. The 3913 and the 3913 "LadySmith" have totally different barrel shapes, which is what confused me, because I was under the impression that they were the same gun aside from the grips. I now agree that Gina Gershon's gun is almost certainly a regular 3913.

My bad, guys.

Huh, I'll be damned. Okay, now that that's IDed, I can do the page tonight. Yay!

I was surfing the web and I came across this, anyone know the gun below the non-inoxized Cheetah?

I'm not backchecking anything, but is it a Sphinx AT .380 ?

AdAstra2009 07-19-2009 09:26 PM

I think your right.

I think the picture you're showing is of the DAO model, since it has no safety, while the picture in the first image has a bobbed hammer and a decocking safety.

The markings on the slide are in slightly different places, but it might just be because of their trigger designs.

The decocking model is seen in The One as a mockeup up pistol and in Strange Days.

Wasn't a version of the Sphinx used as the leading actor's pistol in "The Puppet Masters"? I remember thinking at the time that, that was a curious choice for the lead's weapon.

Looks like an attempt at a USP. What game is this from?
