What about making your own bunker? My house is made of bricks and we have bars in all the windows and entrances.

The walls yeah, but for windows and doors, they never last at all when endless amounts of the undead pile on top of them and eventually, the pressure of all that mass alone will eventually break a door or window, bars or not.
