Why do a ton of other students around here smoke? They know it's bad for them and they know it is pointless and expensive, so what possible reason could there be for all these people to smoke?

Relieves stress, thats why a lot of military, police, even hospital workkers do it a lot. And the whole thing that youre told not to do it for so long makes you feel rebellious and they consider it cool. I cant lie, ive smoked quite a few before but never as a habit, a little nicotine bzz here and there (camping trips, when drunk) is enjoyable. As a habit though it destroys your health and i like exercising and being fit, ill relieve built up stress with a video game or trip to the range.
