When's he adding real revolvers? And an FAL would be nice. Double barreled shotguns would be fun too to mix it up.
|
I'm sure plenty of people have made all of these requests, and eventually he'll add everything you can imagine. But he's got to wait for an artist to draw up the designs, put them on the computer, add everything. It's a laborious process, so I can imagine he won't do it in lightning speed.

An MP40 updated with some modern HK ingenuity.
http://www.imfdb.org/forum/attachmen...1&d=1252199068 |
An MP5 isn't really an MP40 updated. The MP5 uses a roller delayed blow back operation. The MP40 is just a straight recoil operated SMG. The designs of both the MP5 and MP40 aren not similar at all, they don't even use the same type of stocks. The only thing the two have in common is the ammo they fired.
The MP5 was based off the G3 assault rifles, also made by HK which was reportedly taken from a design from Spain. |

Try this then
http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...yweapon-11.jpg Serious, these old guns were never designed for full on customization |

Fear the revolver-carbine. Though obviously the scope would have to be mounted on the other side if you were actually trying to make it work, unless you enjoyed dismounting it every time you wanted to reload. |

I actually meant to post an image of an updated MP40, here it is.

You can't post attachments in image tags. Just leave the post as it is after you add the attachment, like this.

It's just an M16 with an M203 with 2 mags duct taped together. How's that ATF's nightmare?
|
It's not literally the ATF's nightmare, I just see that as the generic Shoot-em up gun.
|
Though i actually rarely see magazines taped together in a lot of movies or shows

Alright then. I'll take your new shotgun and raise you my Benelli. It's semi auto and drum fed with a suppressor. http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...yweapon2-2.jpg |
And how much time did you spend useing Paint to add little finishing touches? Adding such nice things as the magazine release between the trigger guard and the magazine is rather a nice touch.

Modular Combat Carbine (working name, I'm trying to come up with something more military-ish) I created for a story I'm working on centering on a PMC operating in a fictional war-torn Middle Eastern nation, since no existing platform fit what I wanted in terms of capability and appearance (not the first time I've created a fictional weapon, but I always follow the rule of plausibility). It's going to be the basis for a whole family of small arms akin to the LWRC SRT series in that it consists of a standard carbine with a 14.5-inch barrel, a CQB carbine with a 13-inch barrel (the shortest I could make with the SPR barrel and muzzle brake), an infantry automatic rifle with a 16-inch barrel, and a designated marksman rifle also with a 16-inch barrel. In its basic form, it's an updated M4A1 (obviously) chambered in 6.8x43mm with a short-stroke gas piston operating system, KAC URX II free-float rail system capable of mounting the standard M203 grenade launcher without special tools (at least, as far as I know...), 14.5-inch SPR profile heavyweight barrel tipped with an OPS, Inc. muzzle brake and collar, Precision Reflex, Inc. folding front sight, and ARMS #40L folding rear sight (I think). Firing modes on all variants (including the DMR) are safe/semi/fully automatic.

Along with the fire selector switch, you also have a switch which gives you a choice between 5.56 or 7.62 caliber rounds. Optimizing effectiveness no matter the situation.

When I was reading that, I started to think of it as a variation of the 12 days of Christmas song, but replace everything with gun parts.
|
Lol, I just sang it as the 12 Days of Christmas song... :D

I'm less into this kind of frankenstein-ing, and much more into actual design. If they let you draw and build stuff from basic components, it would be incredibly fun to do. As it is, it's pretty much a "what if an AK-47, a Glock 19, and a Intratec-9 had a threesome without protection."
