I think "realism" and fair play in gaming is mutually exclusive. Like how every single WWII FPS has depowered the M1 Garand, due to balance. But in real life, that was the beauty of it, it fired a full powered round like a K98K, but it did it semiautomatically. It WAS a huge advantage, and it was quite unfair. So are night vision, smart munitions, and air strikes. That's why there can only be so much realism in games like BO. It can be realistic or it can be fair, but it can't be both.

Medal of honor is so balanced its funny, most of the taliban is carrying ancient crap but these guys are shown with new red dots, new russian weapons, like every single one has an mp433. In reality a tokarev is considered a status symbol.

Besides, I've nailed other players square in the face, purposely, from half a map away on multiple occasions in both CoD4 and MW2 with grenade launchers. And considering you can't actually aim them (sorry, but that on-screen "reticle" does NOT count), I'd say that makes me pretty damn good with them. |

I remember when I played America's Army, a lot of servers had a rule against using M203's in the first 5 minutes of play. Unbe-fucking-lievable. |
Theres a pretty vocal subculture of COD that says what guns and perks are acceptable and whats for "noobs."
If its in the game, use it. Ive only been booted once for "noob toobing." Just dont camp spawn points or boost to nukes. |
I got booted on Far Cry 2 because I was kicking this 3 man team's ass by myself

most people just rage quit, surprised they bothered to kick you off.
