However, I lingered as a C/2nd Lt for damn near two years before I made
C/1st Lt. Don't stop at C/CMSgt and don't stop at C/2nd Lt. It you're gonna "pause" do it at C/Lt Col

I got caught up in playing sailor in my NJROTC unit and joining the Guard.

Yeah I dont know if this is a new regulation or not but you have to achieve two promotions a year or they kick you out. I am also in Army JROTC and it is kinda hard remembering the minute differences between the Army and the Air Force drill and uniforms, etc.

You were in CAP? I was too, 2002-2009. Made C/ Capt in VA-060 (Southside Composite and later VA-089 (West Richmond Cadet) and went to Blue Beret twice.

Yep, from 2000 to 2006. Topped out as a C/1st Lt.

Let's see...staffed two encampments, numerous SAREXs, was Ground Team Level Two, and did PJOC.
